Honor Magic 5 Pro it's superior to this phone, Sammy has the advantage of 4 Android updates vs 3, faster updates, and photo quality over 10x zoom it's superior, otherwise the Honor it's superior :)

It is technically not outdated due to having purposes internal storage can not fulfill, regardless of how much faster its transfer rate is.

Anonymous, 4 hours agoOh no! Just because there WERE timestamp bugs in the Media ... more10 years ago? Where did you get that figure from? The 1970 bug of Media Transfer Protocol still occurs on far more recent devices.
The "3000 MB/s" transfer rate of the internal storage are little useful if the USB connection to the computer can not handle it and if the Media Transfer Protocol (MTP) needs two minutes to load the DCIM/Camera folder because its file listing ability is abysmally slow.
On MicroSD, through mass storage, the DCIM/Camera folder loads immediately.

Anonymous, 4 hours agoOh no! Just because there WERE timestamp bugs in the Media ... moreDid you just imply MicroSD cards are similarly ancient as floppy disks?
Floppy disks have 720KB or 1.4MB of capacity.
MicroSD cards can have 524288 MB and full SD cards over 1048576 MB of capacity. Yes, memory cards are in the terabyte range now.
There kind of seems to be a difference…

6.8 inch display & 1440p resolution is worthy to pay the price?
Small screen size & high resolution, why?
To me it's not worthy.
I would rather buy a TV or a desktop monitor which have large display size with large resolution.

rifty, 10 hours agoThe design is perfect! Samsung, don't listen to those ... moreI mean most if not all of the chinese high-end phones have almost the similar design, extremely ugly and extremely bulky designs, all look like Verbatim copies without any personality on these designs, even Oppo which had an unique design now looks the same as a Honor or a Xiaomi.
Besides Samsung has by far the most beautiful design and a very unique one. Kudos for that. I am so glad S23 Ultra doesn't have a XXXXXL camera module occupying 30-40% of the back glass but these cool sensors surrounded by an aluminium frame... I hope this will stay for years!

TMR, 17 hours agoSamsung Slows Down Galaxy S23 Wireless Charging
Samsung’... morePerfect. Wireless Charge is terrible for all phones and it should be avoided at all costs unless if there is no other option. It is proven that Wireless charge downgrade battery life a lot faster (this applies to all phones from all brands) since we have wired charging why would we use a much slower and much more degrading charge? Exactly. I'm serious.
Personally I've never used Wireless charge on any of my phones. I only do for Buds. Even if my BMW has Wireless charge in the central console, it also has 2 USB-C plugs and that's where I charge my S23 Ultra.

Just because there WERE timestamp bugs in the Media Transfer PROTOCOL posted 10 years ago, we should fallback to SD Cards again, or even better floppy disks. I mean why use UFS4.0 3000Mbps write speed when you can use only 100Mbps. Devs can't fix it right?
Tell you what. Lets remove internal storage all together, and load the entire OS on the SD card. Since it has become SO reliable and innovation/progress means nothing to you. Compare the performance of that phone to the S23U. You'll enjoy yourself, I'm certain.
While you are stuck 20 years in the past, say hello to Fred Flintstone as well would you? If you want technical information go to XDA. If you want technical amusement post here.

"Settle for less" is not a mentality for a flagship device. In fact, it is contrary to the purpose of a flagship device.

And all my data is safely backed up in my laptop and flash drive. I will repeat again. Good or not doesn't matter but sd card is dead. Just move on and enjoy what you have.

Samsung Slows Down Galaxy S23 Wireless Charging
Samsung’s latest flagship smartphones, the Galaxy S23 family, looks to have a slower wireless charging rate than the previous Galaxy S handset thanks to a quiet downgrade:
“...comparing the new phones to the Galaxy S22 series, PhoneArena found the Galaxy S23 range was up to 40% slower than its predecessors despite Samsung listing both ranges as having the same 15W wireless charging performance. The Galaxy S23 Ultra was the worst offender, charging just 14% in 15 minutes compared to 23% for the Galaxy S22 Ultra, while a full charge took 39 minutes longer."

Anonymous, 13 Apr 2023Flawed logic. Developers would never release an update that... moreHave fun with your 1970-01-01 time stamps that MTP shows.
A bug in the Media Transfer Protocol causes some files to be listed with the last modified date of 1970-01-01. This never happens on mass storage (MicroSD).
Also, cloud services are unsuitable for some kinds of data like music due to copyright filtering.
