There were and are many anti comments. In visible places and in my dms. Telling me to quit. Telling me I’m ugly. Telling me I’m terrible, in many languages. This is one example from stars on ice.
These kind of situations are what was mentioned in the interview as an example.
This photo was posted because we as athletes support each other. We know how difficult sport is, and we want to uplift ice dance here in Japan together.
If people felt they were being targeted by me mentioning anti comments, than I am sorry. That was never my intention.
We as athletes do the best we can in interviews. I spoke only of one example of a painful comment that was sent to me. I never meant to insinuate who wrote it.
I know fans of both couples and Japanese ice dance do not write those kinds of things. I apologize for any confusion.
I’m shocked by the ugly comments you share with us. Many ice dance fans are fare and hope to develop Japanese ice dance. Please be proud of you. Do not apologize for such crazy comments.
