Violation of Urawa supporters in Urawa Reds game
During the Meiji Yasuda Seimei J1 League match against Urawa Red Diamonds in Section 7, Urawa supporters were found to have committed serious violations of the "J-League Match Management Regulations" and "Nagoya Grampus Spectator Rules".
- Entering restricted areas (S stand 2F front row and central large screen area)
- Posting banners in areas where banners cannot be posted (same as above)
- Attaching decorations to the seats on the 2nd floor of the S stand without prior application or permission
- Violence such as head-butting or grabbing a security guard, and threatening Nagoya supporters.
- Intimidating or threatening remarks such as "I will fight if the banner is removed" to our club staff and security guards who are trying to remove the banner in the prohibited area.
- Refusal of forced exit orders against the above violators
At Nagoya Grampus, we confirmed that events 1, 2, and 3 had occurred immediately after the entrance gates opened, and while security staff were responding, event 4 occurred.
After that, we held discussions with the match commissioner, the J.League and Urawa Red Diamonds in the presence of the executive committee members of both teams, and confirmed that both the home and away clubs would handle the incident in accordance with the J.League-related regulations. Urawa Red Diamonds offered to resolve issues 1, 2 and 3 before kickoff, but as the issues had not been resolved 10 minutes before kickoff, the home club took action. As a result, events 5 and 6 occurred.
After the match, the same members who attended the match will confirm the incident and facts of the above violations, and Urawa Reds will identify the person who committed the violation and will take strict action in accordance with the J.League penalties. We have confirmed that appropriate disposal will be carried out.
In addition, the managing club would like to express its deepest apologies to all those who were not able to prevent the above violations. Going forward, we will continue to ensure that everyone who visits the stadium is aware of the rules regarding the operation and management of the games, so that everyone can watch the games safely and with peace of mind.
We would like to once again apologize to Urawa Red Diamonds supporters and Nagoya supporters for the inconvenience caused by the change in the operation of the S stand after the ticket sales.
However, the above-mentioned violation that occurred during the match is a violation of the match management rules, which is independent of our club's defect in the operation change, and is an act that threatens the safety and security of many visitors and management staff. It's not a thing.
In addition, regarding the various communications from Urawa Reds following the change in S Stand operation, there have been times when the contents of the agreements between the clubs have been rewritten in their own way, resulting in communications that differ from the facts as shown below.
- Regarding the seating position of the "Away Supporter's Seat", confirmation between Nagoya Grampus and Urawa Reds will be completed before ticket sales on March 18th(Sat), and then from Urawa Reds' announcement on March 19th(Sun)to the start of the match. Despite the fact that there was no additional discussion, it seems that discussions about changing the seat position from the 2nd floor to the 1st floor are continuing.
- Regarding handling of ticket transfer, Urawa Reds staff handled the transfer even though both clubs had confirmed from the beginning that the number of seats required for the transfer was secured and that Nagoya Grampus would handle the transfer at the stadium on the day of the match. Calls that mislead you as doing
We deeply regret that these transmissions and this violation by Urawa supporters are actions that undermine the relationship of trust between the clubs.
It is my hope that all football lovers will respect each other and work together to bring excitement to Japanese football.
