A jade cup 玉盞 with the Khitan inscription 𘱗 𘬝𘰭 𘰧𘱸 𘲺 𘯆𘱦 𘭅 𘲆𘱦 'on the birthday of the empress, the family khan gave her [this]', once in the collection of Emperor Qianlong, was acquired by John Calvin Ferguson (1866-1945). But does anyone know where it is now?

Ok, last thing on this topic. There are a few recent articles in Chinese.
It seems the object is in the Nanjing University Museum 南京大學博物館 and has been there since Ferguson's gift.
Ji Shi (1988) stated that it had left the country with Ferguson.

It was published, as mentioned previously, in Hong Yinxing 洪銀興, Jiang Zanchu 蔣贊初, 2002. Nanjing daxue wenwu zhenpin tulu 南京大學文物珍品圖錄. Kexue chubanshe 科學出版社, Beijing.
Xu Lin (2006) seems to be the first study after that, correctly stating its whereabouts.

Xu Lin (2007) has color images - most legible image of the Qianlong text I have seen.
Jin Shi (2010) is most recent, but fails to cite any predecessors.
I think that is it.
