Ojo Encino Day School strives to emphasize the values of wisdom, respect, honesty, caring, sharing, courage, and honor. We are committed to a strong education and moral environment. Our school strives to develop each student's individual capabilities both academically and emotionally. The strength of our school is based on the understanding and support the staff gives the students.​

About

Ojo Encino Day School is located in a rural community located twenty-seven miles west of Cuba, New Mexico on the farthest east boundary of the Navajo reservation on a high desert plateau at 7,000 feet. The name comes from a grove of oak trees surrounding a natural spring emerging out of the ground. The school serves several communities: Ojo Encino, Torreon, Star Lake, Counselor, Pueblo Pintado, and Cuba. Ojo Encino Day School is a K-8th school with an enrollment of 173 students and 25 staff members. 100% of the students are Native Americans/Navajos. Ojo Encino Day School is an accredited BIE Navajo school and fully implements the Common Core Standards in the academic program.  After School Support/Tutoring, Summer School, Sports, and more are offered at Ojo Encino Day School, Home of the Braves!
