Cloud storage can not synchronize 24/7 without being a massive burden on the data plan. During a vacation, hotel WiFi could be unreliable and heavily occupied by other guests, so access to cloud could be heavily restricted. If the phone breaks during a trip, the recordings from that day are lost.

Even with cloud storage, MicroSD is an additional safeguard against data loss.

      If you accidentally delete something on internal storage, it is GONE. Good luck recovering it through MTP (hint: you can't).

      Also, if the phone is defective, internal storage goes POOF!

      And don't get me started with cloud storage. It is slow, not available everywhere, expensive in long-term, and also has privacy concerns.

      I would rather have 128 GB internal + 128 GB microSD than 1 TB internal + 0 GB microSD.

      MicroSD is just so much better.

        rahul, 05 Feb 2023what's the problem in giving Memory card Slot ????????... moreAll companies will eventually abolish the card slot from expensive phones, so the lack of the SD card slot won't be able to function as a deal breaker. They will probably keep the slot a bit longer in mid-range and cheaper phones, but I guess that they will eventually become rarer there too. The whole issue, I think, is to make you buy the more expensive version of a model which has the largest memory. As more cameras employ more MP, as games and apps become heavier, it will be an incovinience for people to buy the 128GB versions and back up or delete their data all the time, so they will go for 256/512GB etc. In a few years they will probably stop releasing 128GB versions too.
