So I just play games that I can run 100+ with my graphic card. osu! csgo, etc. I'm buying a 144hz monitor. Asus vg248qe exactly. I will buy a new graphic card but not now, as well could i run at least 120 hz on my computer? thanks

Raptor Lake And Zen 4
Intel's Raptor Lake and AMD's Zen 4 are both on approach for a landing this fall. It's shaping up to be an epic battle between the CPU heavyweights, as Intel looks to add more efficiency cores and multi-threaded performance while AMD will launch an all-new platform, with socket AM5 being the first new socket in over five years.

Didn't know you have that EVGA. Then yes it should work. But why get a 144hz monitor first? I would save up and get a newer GPU. That's just me.

[strike]You have a 8400 GS and you're getting a monitor before you get a GPU?
For the same money of the monitor you could get a good GPU and play a lot more games.[/strike]

EDIT: I saw your reply.
