I bought S23 Ultra because I wanted to move from iPhone (XS). Everything was fine at first until I noticed a defect in my selfie camera. A weird ugly yellow taint on some areas that only appear in room light (not outside). I tried everything, but was not successful.
I called Samsung support, and they said they cannot fix this so I have to send my brand new phone for repair!!!
I can provide the photo samples to GSMArena. Since your reviews were one of my important motive to buy this phone, I think you should cover this issue.

I am sure you never had a S23 Ultra to compare both.

They even gave a lower rating to the Xiaomi 12S Ultra than to Xiaomi 11 Ultra, the 12S Ultra is barely within the top 20 (according to their ranking) and it's one of the best.

Poor camera sensor. Others moving to 1" sensor whereas Scamsung just increase pixel count.

I can't believe that the panel on the S23 Ultra is still only 8-bits.
Also, the difference in CPU and GPU performance between the Ultra and the vanilla S23 and S23+ is night and day.
How is the Ultra able to maintain such better sustained CPU performance for an ENTIRE HOUR despite having a QHD+ screen?

Love the Beach, 21 Feb 2023I'm not impressed with the S23 Ultra AT ALL, 200MP and... moreComing from S20+ (sold for S23U), Huawei P50 Pro, a Flip 4 and a Fold 4 (yes I have a good collection), I thought this phone would be the real beast with its 200MP sensor. I totally agree with you, not impressed by the 200/50MP shots. I noticed that they can be very good but on close subjects (not all conditions), not at all for sceneries where 12MP photos can look more detailed.

I haven't tested "nightography" yet but I m wondering if vanilla S23 would have about same results for sceneries in 12MP mode. Maybe I could have saved both money and space to carry ?

I'm not impressed with the S23 Ultra AT ALL, 200MP and 50MP Sensors aren't anything to write home about. When you compare a pic taken with both 200MP and 50MP there's NO difference AT ALL that I can see. Night Mode isn't anything special either, EXACT SAME as my S21Ultra. Before the recent Android 13 and One UI 5.0 my Night shots on the S21 Ultra were Subpar, after the Update they're AMAZING and no different that the S23 Ultra at all. I'm very disappointed as I thought the 200MP shots would be a Noticeable difference from my S21 Ultra and same with NIght Mode and the so called "Improved Low Light Senor" and "Nightography," the Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 is a JOKE!!! I saw a Drop Test video of the S21 Ultra and both the Screen and back of the Phone shattered on the first Drop 🤦♀️

S-Pen is another level on functionalities and it's already included inside the phone, like kangaroos with their babies! 😊
For the rest is the best in overall but not by a huge margin, at this point all brands have good flagship phones, but some lack in stuff they don't have to while this Samsung is the most "balanced" in overall because it doesn't lack in any aspect, it's good in all of them. It's very balanced. 👍🏻
I like One UI because it's fully customizable, and they now offer 5 years of updates. Samsung offers more updates even than Google Pixel, and that's a real deal! I switched from iPhone 14 Pro Max and I really prefer the S23 Ultra. 😄
