this would require disarming the government as well, as they also buy ammo, government wants it's maintained threat over people so that wont happen. A lot of ammo bought here by civilians is made in other countries. also, people will just make ammo themselves, info is public

Yeah that's me. The main and active ingredient of modern smokeless gun poder is nitrocellulose. So far I have successfully made nitrocellulose useing: Liquid fire Drain cleaner Cotton balls Instacold packs/stump remover/nitric acid from the reactor.

Nitrocellulose then can be granulated and combined with combustion retardant to make smokeless gun powder. Primers can be reloaded using armstrong mix acquired from match boxes, although once fired salt is produced which will corrode your barrels if not cleand immedietly.
