RetroArch has been a shitshow for years. It needs to die. I know someone who got this same shitshow from RA people. They banned the dev of mGBA for pointing out unlicensed code. There's rumours that the head, TwinAphex or how you spell it, was involved with Near's suicide.

Please stop using RetroArch. Use BizHawk or individual emulators. Emulator Devs: don't let them use your cores. They're money grubbing shitheads making the most talented people in the hobby suffer for their own gain. They've driven away too many good people.

Eh. I never liked RetroArch anyway. Cumbersome, had a five-star pain-in-the-ass rating to configure, and did not play well with my NegCon. To hell with RetroArch. I'm using individual emulators, and to an extent Mednafen.
