“Why aren’t there multiple candidates on the ballot?” Because if a candidate proves unpopular in discussions in workplaces, neighborhoods, etc, why even consider them further? Elections aren’t a competition btwn parties, they’re to identify the best candidate to serve the people

Compare this to capitalist elections, which are basically competitions for power determined by the strength of a party’s advertising. Look at the U.S., where a president can be elected without the popular vote. There’s nothing abt this particular kind of democracy that’s superior
