There is an anti-imperialist line on North Korea: Opposition to the broad economic sanctions. The sanctions clearly aren't stopping the NK government's nuclear program or authoritarianism. But they are hurting North Koreans and giving the government excuses for its own failures:

tbf America does this too, they just don't talk about it a lot but there is an "American Calender" that counts up from 1776

Another interesting tidbit is that technically the two dead former leaders still retain their positions. For example Kim Il Sung is still “Eternal Leader.” It is one of the only real examples of a “necrocracy”- a government headed by the deceased.
