George Adam, the owner and main teacher of Strictly English is London born, the son of immigrants to the UK.  George Adam graduated Essex University with a degree in English Literature and English Language in 1991 and went on to get a post graduate degree in education, in 1993 qualified as a TESOL instructor (teaching English to foreign students) followed by a PhD in Education which he completed in 2018.  George Adam has dedicated his entire working life teaching English as a second language.  He worked as an IELTS examiner and teacher in British Council accredited schools.

George Adam got 'fed up' with the way English Language Schools are run, the way that individual needs are not considered, the welfare of students is ignored.  It is impossible to learn the English language properly when you have a class of 6+ nationalities.  The pronunciation needs are different, vocabulary strengths are different, many Europeans are familiar with social English whereas Asians are not and many more reasons.  It reached a stage where schools were more concerned about the money coming in and not too bothered about the actual student needs, school owners and teachers forgot somewhere along the line why they became teachers.

George Adam set up Strictly English because he realised the need to prioritize the STUDENT, offer best quality education, at AFFORDABLE PRICES, and ensure the welfare of the student not only during lessons but more importantly outside the lessons.  London can be a 'culture shock' to many of our students and at times quite lonely.  Strictly English arranges regular dinners (free) with other students and other social activities throughout the year.  George Adam is available 24/7 for all his students.
