Philippines Mid-Level Node.js Developer (Home-Based)
Home-Based
The right candidate will be able to lead technical projects, from initial architecting to production deployment. They will be a creative problem solver, a lover of clean code and rigorous testing. They will be comfortable working in multiple technologies with a strong focus on Node.js, and will be capable of picking up new languages and frameworks quickly.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Building, managing and maintaining the back-end of tech stacks for multiple projects
- Working in an Agile team, working with tools such as Jira/Clickup to manage progress and estimate features
- Defining and improve on software architecture
- Writing technical documentation where needed, training and support
- Writing reusable, testable, and efficient code
- Design and implementation of low-latency, high-availability applications
- Integration of user-facing elements developed by front-end developers with server side logic
- Implementation of security and data protection
- Helping to train junior developers
- Stay up-to-date with industry standards and incorporate them appropriately.
- Keep non-technical clients up-to-date by demonstrating progress, explaining technical concepts and challenges
Skills / Qualifications:
- You must be a true “digital native” – tech should be a way of life, not just a career
- 4+ years of software development experience
- Exceptional knowledge of Node.js
- Front end skills are a bonus
- Expertise in creating high-level designs, technical standards and define software coding standards
- Excellent English communication skills both written and oral, ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical people
- Extensive experience in custom web application development.
- You should be an inspirational leader of more junior developers - teaching, encouraging and motivating others, helping to create a positive environment
Perks and Benefits:
- Php 90,000 - 120,000 gross monthly salary depending on experience
- Php 5,000 monthly allowance (Php 3,000 internet allowance and Php 2,000 rice allowance)
- Home-based role
- 13th month pay
- HMO and 15 days paid combined annual leave (after probation)

The right candidate will be comfortable working in multiple technologies, with strong experience in either React.js or React Native, and will be able to learn new languages and frameworks quickly.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Building, managing and maintaining the front-end of multiple projects
- Working in an Agile team, working with Jira/ClickUp to manage progress and estimate features

- Pixel-perfect implementation of designs
- Helping to train junior developers

Skills / Qualifications:
- You must be a true “digital native” – tech should be a way of life, not just a career
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from a top university is helpful though not essential
- 4+ years of software development experience
- Exceptional HTML, CSS and JavaScript skills, ideally with good knowledge of React.js or Vue.js
- Expertise in creating high-level designs, technical standards and define software coding standards
- Self-managing and able to work with minimal supervision
- Excellent English communication skills both written and oral, ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical people
