The way it is USB powered and the battery is just a USB power bank is a VAST improvement over all the other battery-powered headsets on the market. Gives the option of mains-powering it, and the end-user will be able to replace or substitute the battery when it inevitably dies.

I kind of wonder how many companies actually invest in these "Pro-Type" Headsets.. Or just wait for the consumer one to come out and buy them up

.. I'd think most companies are still hesitant to dive into VR for training and productivity.

This could be hopium, but the "Vive XR" could be a series of products and the "Vive XR Elite" could be one of a line if products. In this case, the Elite could be the most expensive with extra features, leaving room for a cheaper option. They did the same thing with Cosmos Elite.

Was interested till I saw the price tag. This is the reason why people are saying vr is dead. High price tags shockingly turn the public away!

My feelings are kind meh on this one. Paper specs are a slight bump visually compared to Index, but that's about it. Also no top head strap. Or light house tracking. Vive is good at modules, so maybe a eye/face later on. Not sure how you fit eye tracking in that small space.
