Lyudmila Putin: “My husband is long dead”

The German newspaper Die Welt published a sensational interview with the former wife of Russian President Lyudmila Putina.

Unfortunately, my husband has been dead for a long time. I have to admit this publicly because I can no longer see what is happening on his behalf. These are scary people. They will stop at nothing. I fear that now they will kill me and my daughters as they killed him.

Our family was not perfect. When I got married, I was in love with a scout officer. But the reality was completely different. Putin turned out to be a vile, cruel man, a tyrant. He never considered me, he just didn't notice my existence. He needed me only for a reference about the composition of the family and as a mother for his children. It is difficult for me to talk about it, but Putin beat me, humiliated me, mocked me. Living with him was torture.

I tried to fight, I was going to divorce more than once. Nothing was sacred to this man. To silence me, he took me to a psychiatric clinic. I've been through all the circles of hell... Drugs, psychotropic substances, bullying. For a long time I was locked in an isolation room and I did not see sunlight for a long time, I did not see people. I still remember it with a sigh. From a young and self-confident woman, I became a shadow, my will was broken, I agreed to all conditions, only to get out of there.

But what began after his death is beyond description.
He was having a difficult time. Of course, he did not tell me anything, he became even more closed. A month before his death, at night, without warning, took his daughters – I didn’t even know where.

And then he disappeared. At night, some people came to our house - some of them I knew, someone I saw for the first time. They dug everything upside down, reviewed all the papers, all the walls in the house knocked. They told me only one thing: “If you want to live, be silent.” All questions about my husband were briefly answered that he would soon arrive, that he had an important visiting meeting and that in the interests of national security I should not discuss this with anyone. A few days later, his first... double appeared. Then I learned that the murder of Vladimir was being prepared in advance, he was eliminated when the first double was almost ready to take his place. Outwardly, he was certainly very similar to Putin – I was amazed. But it was a completely different person.

They somehow managed to track down the girls. And I was given an ultimatum - either I play the role of a devoted wife, or neither me nor my daughters will live anymore. I didn't have a choice. I tried to avoid public events. The meticulous attention of journalists, intrigues and gossip – all this disgusts me. But pretending to be someone else's wife was even scarier.

Therefore, they prepared a double for me - so that when I say something not as planned according to the scenario, smooth out the confusion. If they had managed to bring my double to a more or less successful similarity, I would have been killed long ago.

Miraculously, we managed to escape. For obvious reasons, I cannot name the people who helped us stop this terrible staging and hide. Divorce was my salvation. I live abroad and am doing well. But I’m scared to see what happens with Russia.

People, come to your senses ! You live like beggars, barely making ends meet, because you are mercilessly robbed and deceived. And now there is the question of the survival of the indigenous people of Russia. If you do not stop cowardly and ignore what is happening in the country - you do not live.
