An Illustrated Guide to Dealing with Suspicious Activity
Sorry to interrupt your MangaDex Experience® but we'd like to inform and remind you of a few things that have caused issues for some of our users. Please read! Thanks.
Do not be fooled by impersonators.
Someone might contact you, falsely claiming to be
a staff member or affiliated with MangaDex.
Do not simply trust people online. When verifying
a Discord user's identity, check both their
username and tag number.
The Discord accounts of MangaDex staff members can be found on
the About page.
You can also always double-check them on
the MangaDex Discord server.
While you're at it, why not check out our
Twitter
as well?
Do not upload or delete for strangers.
Everyone can upload to MangaDex freely — except for those who are banned or trying to get rule-breaking material on the site. Anyone having legitimate issues uploading should contact MangaDex staff for help.
Do not be tricked into needlessly deleting your
chapters, either.
If your upload breaks a rule and MangaDex staff contacts you, it
will be to inform why your chapter has been deleted from the site,
not to ask you to delete it.
Do not share any password with anyone, ever, for any reason, no exceptions.
This rule naturally applies to every password ever, not just on MangaDex.
The only place where your MangaDex credentials should go is the
login screen on
mangadex.org.
And possibly a secure password manager.
