The way Shoto tries to hold it together during Dabi’s prominence burn, the VAs voice crack, absolute perfection in voice acting this week
I rewatch the episode and realize it's yuki kaji, NO FUCKING WONDER.
The desperation in house, the tears, and the fact that he called him Dad (Oyaji) instead of Indeavor really hit hard man. Especially with the current Number 1 hero standing there panicking and shaking.

i swear, my hole heart was beating the whole episode like i was a member of the todoroki family damn. Bones nailed this episode.
This season so far has been immaculate, actually making me excited for new MHA episodes haven't felt that since season 3.
I feel like ive been waiting since dabi was introduced in s2 for a scene like this. Based off how hard he hid his identity and the nature of his quirk...
Funny for how important he is he had barely any screentime, though the reveal was perfect.

FYI: When the "Dabi's Dance" chapter (ch 290) came out, the chapter leaks out trended the 2020 US election (Trump vs Biden) on Twitter.
That was quite the entertaining experience while following that for the manga and easily one of the top trends for the manga chapters. lol

Man watching the usually strong and tough Endeavor practically having a panic attack from Dabi’s reveal was crazy.
I feel terrible for the “Can’t you see?!” Kid from season 4. Looked like his whole world shattered.
What a great callback when they showed the kid. It was heartbreaking to see how Endeavor's past actions really caused so much pain not just to his family but to the citizens who believed in him.
That reveal must hurt him more than his punctured lungs and whatever broken bones and cuts he’s got. I really don’t think the man is gonna recover from that, especially because what the dude said wasn’t all a lie. Endeavor was pretty abusive and a shit parent and husband. He’s tried to make up for it, but the you can’t hide from your past can you?
Deku: "This is bad...Shigaraki has awakened the power of All for One, the city is flattened and hundreds are dead, and now Gigantomachia has arrived with the League of Villains. At this point, I don't think the situation can get any more desperate."
Dabi: "I'VE COME TO MAKE AN ANNOUNCEMENT. ENDEAVOUR'S A BITCH-ASS MOTHERFUCKER."

i suspected it from the start, seeing a "long lost todoroki sibling" in the dinner at Endeavors house scene i KNEW it had ot be dabi, the reveal was still great though and im glad i wasnt totally spoiled
If you only watch the anime you don't even get hints except for a mention of toya.
The writer really pulled a fast one on me. Even I as a fan of heros seem to agree to stain now. The pro hero society is bad place to live when everyone has powers anyone who has any kind of vengeance like Dabi or shigraki or any such bad seed can cause a lot of chaos.

I don't really remember details like this from watching too many shows so that info on Toya really caught me off guard. Yeah I'm loving this arc.
They teased Best Jeanist in the beginning but I cheered when he finally appeared at the end. Lol
Same dude, same. I know the manga readers already knew, but man I was caught off guard with that reveal. All of that was so carefully planned, no wonder he called it his trump card. This episode was just absolutely fantastic.
Best Jeanist being alive at least saves Hawkes public image, Dabi being wrong in one point casts doubt on everything else
Yeah, I don't know what I would have done if Jeanist hadn't shown up in the final seconds. I think I was in shock from the Dabi reveal and Shoto desperately trying to keep things together. I swear I had stopped breathing for a min, it was that intense for me.
I had completely forgotten about that Jeanist tease at the start and was just stuck thinking about Shoto. Yeah it's more intense for Endeavor, but it's hitting Shoto too and although his Dad is literally standing next to him, he's basically all alone trying to protect everyone around him, seconds away from facing an attack that sounds like it's more powerful than Endeavor's ultimate, and then out of nowhere he's got help.
"Dabi == Todoroki Toya" was a popular theory since the UA Summer Camp Invasion arc, but nobody actually thought that Horikoshi would actually do it because it's so "obvious", and he did it in glorious way too that it shattered the whole "Endeavor is the new Number 1 Hero" that Endeavor has been building up since his change of heart.
Dude was monologuing in real time and on a prerecorded video. Some of his sentences even lined up perfectly. He must’ve really prepared for this moment.

Great episode! VA's been stellar throughout the season but Endeavor, Dabi and Shoto really belted them out today. And Endeavor just figuratively this time.
As always Bones loves drawing up their fire effects, in blue this time! Dabi's Prominence burn was looking so good part of me is a little disappointed he was stopped lol.
What I absolutely love about this arc is how dramatically and often the pendulum momentum swings between which side is winning, just back to back cliff hangers and tension.

Manga readers weren’t kidding, we are experiencing some peak my hero stuff this season
With the manga we get even more cliffhangers since it's 2-3 chapters per episode. God bless that era because the chapters literally just went like: Bakugo's impaled > Shiggy's taken over and vestiges world > Dabi is Touya > Dabi is Touya but ON TV > Best Jeanist's reveal.
I'm so, so, so, so glad they showed Best Jeanist back in action today. I couldn't have taken it otherwise.
That may be the only fact holding hero society together from this day onwards — that Best Jeanist is still alive when Dabi claimed Hawks killed him, meaning not all of Dabi's claims are true.
Bakugo's my favourite character. So hyped for [next episode previews] his name reveal next week.

What better way to burn this city hero society than to some tunes. Now that I think about it Dabi kinda is a Cyberpunk character, tragic life story, body horror and modification, all steeped in violence and dramatic fashion choices.

Jeanist with the 🥶 entrance. I feel like if they didnt show him at the start the hype would be even greater.
I think the starting reveal helped for me a little more. Before that I had completely forgotten about him and his entrance wouldn't have been so 🥶
Also Jeanist was out of action since the AFO fight if I am not wrong or was there another reason why he came so late in the war?!

What the actual fuck!? How in the world have we never figured out that Dabi is a Todoroki? Looking back at things, it seems so obvious now that I'm surprised that I haven't been spoiled by anyone! Bravo BnHA community!
And that entire freaking monologue was just awesome. I do find it hilarious that his entire plan was to cancel Endeavour live on air complete with receipts. He even threw Hawks under the bus and claimed that Hawks killed Best Jeanist.
Not gonna lie though, Endeavour had it coming. I mean I genuinely applaud Endeavour for trying to change for the better recently but it doesn't really change the fact that he still did those shitty things in the past and this is just karma finally catching on to him.
Although I don't think Dabi's video will hold much water in the future once people learn that Best Jeanist is alive. They'll probably dismiss Dabi's video as another dumb villain trying to spread lies and fake evidence.
Side note: I almost forgot to mention Toga and Uraraka's fight. Still not sure what was Toga's goal though. Did she really just want to hear what Uraraka thinks about her?
Toga used to be a normal girl whose personality was as quirky as her quirk, until all that repression and the natural urges of her quirk and puberty coalesced into disaster. So I do not doubt that part of her somewhere still wonders if life could be different, the loss of Twice poetically giving the girl who can be anyone a identity crisis. So of course in her desperation she reaches out to Uraraka in a warped sense of friendship and kinship, because Uraraka, also liking Deku, is essentially the normal version of herself.
Uraraka's response is perfectly understandable though I wonder if she took a different tone or tact, if she might have been able to reach Toga in this period of vulnerability.

I figure you and Horikoshi both are on the same page there. I don't think even he knows what the fuck to do with Toga as a character at this point. I really hope he gets better at writing good plotlines for her in the next arcs.

As an anime-only, I've known for a long time. I'm really super surprised there's anyone here who didn't, the anime made this 100% clear by showing, heavily implying and not outright saying. It would not have been a spoiler, but a deduction that makes sense once you make it (you'd just go naruhodo!).
Still, seems like a majestic surprise for those who didn't catch on or read the relevant discussion threads where others discussed it! With that in mind it's extra surprising you didn't read it since you're in every thread, lol!

Man, I was NOT expecting Dabi to be Toya. What a twist! Talk about a real “fuck you” to Endeavor. Hitting his rep and even that shit with Hawks was pretty clever. What a terrifying trump card indeed. Nothing more dangerous than half truths and innuendos. Endeavor’s taken a hit he may not be able to fully recover from.
Aww hell yeah! My guy Best Jeanist coming in at that last moment. Hopefully that’s enough time to call a tactical retreat to reorganize and tend to the wounded.

Finally we can technically talk about Dabi being a Todoroki without it being a spoiler (even though it had some of the most obvious foreshadowing 🤣)
The arc of calling Dabi by his name is funny. When Endeavor invited the boys over for dinner and we finally learned the other brother's name, people just used Dabi and Toya interchangeably. Then it gets revealed and you have to stop calling him that since it's technically a spoiler. And now we can finally go back to calling him his real name.
This episode was AMAZING. I was holding my breath at the Dabi Flashfire Fist towards the end.

Dabi was about to Prominence Burn their ass. He really did a "You get what you fucking deserve!" moment there.
Prediction: After they recover from their injuries endeavor and hawks' pr teams would ask them to film an apology video in their hoodie and with a lot of ugly crying.
Goated episode!! Dabi's VA went hard on this one, it really elevates the speech about how fcked up the hero system is.
Everything is perfect this episode from visuals to ost, damn.
EDIT: Also forgot to add, Yuki Kaji did a really good job when Shoto was trying to put some sense to Endavor, really felt that voice acting!!
I noticed that during the start of the episode, he calls his friends "Bakugo" and "Midoriya", but calls Enji "Endeavour" with a slightly shakey voice. Then he got really emotional and full on yelled "oyaji!!" to get Enji to move. Just thought it was really good.

Holy shit, I can't believe I didn't see this coming and also didn't get spoiled on the reveal. Kudos to the community! It's quite obvious in hindsight but I actually never even considered his identity would end up being such a big deal.
Now I wonder why Endeavor didn't find Toya's body in that forest and what really went on that day. Seems fishy at best tbh...

this might be my favorite episode so far this season.I know it wont hold true by the end as there is a scene I'm really looking forward to.
but I didn't expect this one to look and feel so good.

Anime Genetics threw you off. Endeavor has red hair and Rei has silver hair. Their child couldn't have black hair, that's just impossible. Clearly they're not related.
I don't think you're stupid at all. The hints that are given throughout the series are not blatant. Dabi being Toya has been a discussion among the community, so if you are just watching the series without expanding into the discussions online it could be looked right past.

Dabi's identity was a very badly kept secret - I'm in fact amazed there was still someone not knowing - but it's the delivery that counts and it delivered, oh yes. The direction, the animation and especially the voicework, not just Dabi but also Shoto's desperate plea to Endeavor to snap out of it (he even calls him "father").
Best Jeanist turning out alive puts a big wrench on Dabi's plan but the bomb has already been dropped.

Dabi's lucky that hair dye remover survived all his battles or just didn't expire for however long he's been attempting his revenge plans. Would of been awkward if he rolled up and it didn't work.
"No really it's me, Toya! I got the DNA results and everything!"
"Yeah.....but you're hair's not white, so..."
Personally I never thought his identity was meant to be a big deal to reader based on how Hori wrote it. His identity in story was never a primary focus until this arc. The fandom just kinda ran with it and hyper focused on it and made it seem like it was a big mystery to be solved.
It was always more about what this reveal but mean to characters in the story than to us as readers. And the execution was very good in that regard.

Shoto is the absolute MVP in this episode, saving Bakugou/Deku/Endeavor from falling to their death, administrating first aid, his combo with Nejire making All for one retreat, and then prompting his father to react after Dabi's reveal. Boy has it tough but he's handling it like champ ngl
Man this is a better shonen right now than one piece......which makes it the top shonen ever for now.....there was a big ass between this season and last so the details were a bit fuzzy but when they show those flashbacks i remember everything and ut all just hits at once...... Shigaraki and Dabi really competing for top villian this year......Fuck i got goosebumps theice this episode which is a fucking lot nowadays reminded me of Chimera ant arc when jt was still running....
