All the chips sets both on phones and cloud services are made by Chinese companies and have Nation State controls and surveillance on them. Add this to behavioral analytics and AI and they'll be able to do such things. Some of the tech people there will have to get creative.

Equal parts bad and unsurprising. In 2018 we came very close to getting Huawei phones through AT&T, who backed out of the deal suddenly and without much public explanation. Glad we dodged that bullet.
