Origin of the Company Name

It goes back about 40 years ago.

At that time, President Ikawa, as a TV director, covered an African village that was synonymous with hunger and poverty. Why is everyone suffering from hunger when the land is fertile? If you have the know-how to grow crops, you can solve it, but why can't you? The day before I left the village where I was staying, there was a waterway and fertile land with a lot of crops, less than 50 kilometers away. However, it did not reach the poor village ... and was subject to concessions.

This reality fundamentally changed Ikawa's belief that raising the tragedy of this village to people all over the world through the media as a documentalist would eventually save the people of the village. "If anyone lives there, I want to reach out." Whether to perform the actions that are commonplace as a person indirectly or directly. As I was worried, I saw the limits of being a documentalist.

I stayed for only two weeks, but when I was about to go home, the children were crying and hugging me. When all the staff got into the location car with the feeling that their back hair was pulled, I realized my powerlessness. What I can do to help these children is not to ask the media, but to build rivers, waterways, and provide know-how to grow crops.

The company name of Creek & River is named after this strong feeling.
