Anyone celebrating the alleged censorship coming to pixiv should be forced to have a rooster fight them anytime they try to move more than 1000m within a hour. and not like a normal rooster, I'm talking a descendant of post-chew poyo who's been chugging hellcow protein shake since he kicked their way out of the shell.

I can't believe that "yay weird porn is gone fuck the weirdos am i right fellow normals" has been the reaction rather than being skeeved out by the fact mastercard and visa can put this much pressure on a company and outright refuse transactions. Fuck, it boggles the mind that people are kicked of paetron for NSFW games involving incest (see: blandest fetish ever) and no one bats a fucking eye and just mock people for moving to subscribestar and "wasting their talent". See kids, you aren't being censored if the corporations refuse to host your art, lock you out of making a living, and hate your guts? why? cause it's not the goverment doing it silly! Now just do all your transactions in fucking crypto, cash, or some sketchy-ass processor, cause you ain't making a living otherwise.

I hope any fake artist supporting this gets their work censored as well, what goes around comes around you filthy sub-sentient animal. Fuck you, you don't deserve shit. 1. It shows bias and bad judgment.
2. The fact that they had to be told/reminded repeatedly that the story was based on the first anime despite the fact that the fic was using the Seven Rainbow Crystals (which are Anime only) shows that they were there to hate on the fic or at least the first Anime as much as anything else.
3. They and other brought up power levels, the power levels of the Senshi from the manga where they were a lot more powerful.
4. The tone of the first cartoon, especially the dub, was a lot more lighthearted than the manga.
5. I find them to be relentlessly negative and a kill joy that hates on Harry Dresden.
As for the rest? It runs headfirst into the POV problem. From Harry's point of view (which is what the fic was written from) the Senshi and their enemies aren't that much more powerful than things Harry runs into Semi-regularly. Also, no matter how powerful they are the way the Senshi do things (posing and giving speeches about "love and justice") are going to make it hard for a cynical noir detective like Harry to take at all seriously, since not only would doing that be an invite to any of the monsters he fights to slit the person throat? But from Harry's POV the Senshi are focused practitioners that only know one or two spells.
Talking isn't really a free action in Harry's considerable experience.
In short? Harry is a noir detective dropped into what seems to be a silly kids cartoon and slowly finding out that things are a lot more serious than he thought. Which is very true to how the Dresden Files Novels go, things are pretty much always a lot more serious and complicated as well as dangerous than they seemed at first.
So people ended up attacking the authors and the fic because they were unable or unwilling to get that them being written from the POV of a gritty Noir detective from a grimy dark Lovecraft lite Urban fantasy series meant that the Senshi had to be portrayed a certain way.
Also, when it comes to the Senshi being "the actual warrior generals"? I'm pretty sure that is a common bit of Sailor Moon Fannon as the inner Senshi we know are Usagi's friends and near equals. I mean, I have never heard anything about them being "warrior generals" or anything that would hint at them having been older than Princess Serenity.
Lastly, when was Harry confronted with Metalia?! This is the POV problem again, Harry had even less idea of what the Senshi were facing than they did until the second to last chapter. Even then that was just him "watching a movie" Lash showed him that wasn't entirely accurate and showed him that the Dark Kingdom (A very Saturday Morning/Kids Cartoon name) had been VERY badly nerfed compared to the power that had ended like 90% of life in the solar system.
Harry doesn't know, has no way of knowing what you do and seem to be expecting him to know. Even if he asked the Senshi and spent hours questioning Luna? He wouldn't know most of this stuff, because Luna's memory was so full of holes that she didn't remember who the Princess was or that there had been no Sailor Moon.

Honestly this fanfic is making the same mistake that I've seen several times in other Sailor Moon fanfics, the constant need to belittle and demean the Senshi.

the fact that threats from Sailor Moon's side are not being taken seriously. Why it's a childish tone to me is pure bullshit.

Magical girls can be childlike at their core, but if it weren't for the power of Love or friendship, this kind of scenario would be very bleak.

it's weird how the only fanfic i've ever seen treat sailor moon with respect was a warhammer crossover.

While I agree with that you that censoring a bunch of stuff like incest and other fetishes and just restricting artists in general, is a douche move by Mastercard and visa on pixiv, and those who celebrate said censoring are complete douchenozzles who lack the brains that if such restrictions are coming to those things, what is stopping from the restrictions to become more encompassing. I'd assume they're in much the same boat as Tumblr was. For Tumblr, their options were ban porn or get kicked off of the app store and lose all ad revenue. It feels increasingly like the only way to host porn, or even more general nsfw content, is if you can somehow subsist solely off of direct donations.

Turning them into little more then helpless civilians thrown in line of fire when the people who actually know what their doing got killed.

Harry's pov does not matter. Power levels do not matter. That was a choice of the author.

I find the whole overcorrection of Papyrus's fanon depiction to be quite a bit much. Like, yes, he was just kind of relegated into "The guy that is wacky, does not like pun, makes spaghettis and gets hurt/killed whenever sans/undyne/frisk/thechild needs to go into MAXIMUM OVERDRIVE"

The only way I would accept that is if their magical powers basically transformed the mechs into magical girl super robots. But I doubt that the case in this particular fic.

Kind of reminds of this one Gundam Wing Crossover with Sailor Moon where the Gundams are time traveling from the future where remnants of the Silver Millennium who were not sent into the future via Silver Crystal reincarnation were able to rebuild society and eventually created Magitek of a sorts, and the only saving grace for why the senshi were useless combat wise was because it was explained in the technical notes of the fic that said Gundams are equipped with tech designed to neutralize said magical powers.

Edit: also for added context the reason the Colonies in this fic made the Gundams as overpowered as they were was because they were under the impressions due to historical records that the Senshi were absolute war gods in terms of power.

More Magical Girl Super Robots should be a thing, i don't mean normal human sized mechas like the...sadly really not good series Robot Girls Z or them being mecha based like the actually good Symphogear franchise.

But big mechas based on them, there aren't many like Granbelm or Valsione from Super Robot Wars...albeit that one took it's inspiration so far it looks like an actual girl/woman:


Which in-universe is considered creepy, odd looking and probably something made for an Otaku and actually made by the pilot's father according to her tastes and which she finds cute...apparently the only person in any game Valsione is in to think it's cute.

Yes. There's a comment I cannot trace about the editor of one of those "Men's Magazines" saying that their primary customer base was middle aged men with serious insecurity and young boys.

...yeah, Loki's issues are almost entirely of his own making. For sure, finding out you're adopted in quite the way he did is a lot of angstfuel... but it really doesn't justify or even entirely explain the way he went about expressing that angst.

I’m willing to make concession in fanfics when the Abuse is at least plausible (ie Ozai being just the worst wouldn’t shock me) but yeah it gets annoying when it’s both out of character and excessive to the point it feels like the writer is enjoying the idea of what is happening to the character.

This is a bit of a niche concept, but there are some settings where certain orientations or types of romantic entanglement - interspecies, gay, ect - have none of the associated baggage that they do or realistically would in real life. Yet most often when you see crossover - or "X on Earth" - stories where characters from settings meet a setting where those things do exist... and have the exact same emotional response as a "native" when it comes to bigotry, prejudice, ect.

It's hard to describe, but if somebody has never conceived of bigrotry against being gay, it feels really weird for them to respond to the idea with inherent sadness or anger rather than... something more theoretical? Hypothetical? Confused?

I get that, still feels like a waste of time and effort to make a crossover with something you hate just to mock it, also having to research or watch something you dislike...or are they attacking Sailor Moon because they like it and feel ashamed?

Screw that, people like what they like, as a kid i would watch Sailor Moon and still enjoy it, and other stuff for kids has many adult fans, hell, a few decades ago people wouldn't imagine superhero movies ever becoming as big as they are, or animated movies where it's not just parents bringing kids that go watch them, and they don't go writing hate fanfics just because others or themselves like it...well, not everyone.
