How long before someone creates an extension that stops the verified badge from appearing on users that paid for it? It'll make it easier to see only notable verified accounts on desktop. Might be a good workaround for a while.

Premium cope. If this was the reason DeSantis won, you would have seen school board elections across the country flip that way. They flipped AGAINST the anti-trans candidates. PA went blue. Michigan too right after Republicans proposed life in prison for gender affirming care.

The language of "male or female impersonators" could be applied to trans people for simply existing as themselves. They are not just going after drag queens, they are trying to criminalize trans and queer people in public spaces.

There's a serious possibility that if the Republicans take the house with less than <5 seats in the majority, they may not be able to coalesce around a Speaker of the House. The House Republican conference will be total chaos that would make herding cats seem easy.

Mail in vote can't be counted until after polls close in NY and they can be accepted as long as they are postmarked by election day meaning that ballots will still come in over the coming days and they will be nearly all democratic votes.

I feel like I'm experiencing deja vu in New York. Red mirage in 2020 that was initially looking to be a disaster for state legislators and then the mail in vote was counted and Dems picked up a super majority in both houses. Same thing will happen here w/ congressional seats.
