A place for poetry

Thu Jun 02, 2016 12:13 pm

Being called "haiku" of forum gurus by ZeroByte here http://forum.mikrotik.com/viewtopic.php ... 86#p540033, it inspired me to fulfil that nickname and start with the poetry. Please, note that I am native Czech, without any previous experience with this very special japaneese poetry form and what is more, I am trying to write it in English. Very bad combination.

I do believe that gentle Japan fellows will forgive me.

So, here is the very first haiku:

RouterOs.
Read the forum -
You'll succeed.

And the second is right here too:

Routerboards.
Avoid the Google -
miss the truth.

Hope others can follow.

They cry out for help
A proper solution comes
Then they reject it

-- a haiku about the Mikrotik forums.
When given a spoon,
you should not cling to your fork.
The soup will get cold.

Following that t-shirt I saw on some EU MUM:

let your friends bridge their net
suddenly, looping occurs
you are no more their friend

Challenge accepted :D

Trees are spanning
Bridges waiting
Do not forget your roots

Follow the path
The target you will find
Remember way home

Open ports
Follow rules
Do not let walls fire

There is a packet for you
Mr Postman waiting
Check your address

Torch it
Sniff it
You are not alone

If you are an ISP,
you know the headache it can be

Clients love you for delivering the web,
but when it breaks they loathe you instead

Half of the time the fault is theirs,
But don't tell them that, they don't care

But do not worry, feel comfort with this,
When computers take over.. support will be bliss :D

New WAN connection
The LAN side never shall hear
Screams of dropped packets
When given a spoon,
you should not cling to your fork.
The soup will get cold.

You can use a fork
For the meat at the bottom
If you drank your soup

I have just found a haiku out of this thread over here:
viewtopic.php?t=68315#p850107

RouterOS.
That answers the question.
Great routers.
Wireless... We use another vendor.
It would be eternal loss if it was not mentioned in this thread also.

So many talents in here :D If i talk about me - i am the worst person when it comes to writing. No matter if its a poem or a simple nice message.
The last essay i had to do for my college i found here https://writinguniverse.com/free-essay- ... der-roles/. I read it twice before the presentation and got an excellent mark at the end. Some people would consider it bad probably but i would do it again and again if i would need to.

"Help me, it doesn't work",
another user cries,
"I did this and that,
so many tries."

"Worry not my friend",
guru @anav says,
"show me your config
I'll fix that mess."

"Put address on bridge,
not the interface,
remove these rules,
keep up the pace."

"Now behold new config,
wonderful sight!"
"But is still doesn't work,
that can't be right."

"No way that's true,
the thing must just shine,
I did what I could,
to make it match mine!"

;)
