experiencing racial gaslighting in other fandoms almost made me just wanna quietly leave and not do anything but i'd be doing a disservice to the artist i admired and other black people if i didn't atleast let him know i'm just so glad he can be a better vers of himself now

i wanted to post this before i went to sleep last night but i hope people can be considerate about the way they speak to hurt ppl in situations like this please educate yourselves on racial gaslighting! it's v real and it makes people not want to speak out when injustices happen

i fell asleep so conflicted, sad and alone thinking i couldn't talk to anyone about my feelings (bc of the guilt i felt as a kaze fan whos black, idk its complex) and kaze's extra tweets made me feel so much better

i'm so happy that he added to his apology

idk how else to put this but you've made a fan for life out of me bro

and the fact kaze considered their feelings and went back to improve on his initial apology just convinced me how much hes willing to do the work thank you so much

i love you

it feels like a heavy cloud got lifted from my heart i was ok with his initial twt but it pained me to know members of my same community were still sad and disheartened by the vague wording it's a standard apology but black people are so tired of the vague apologies

kaze carries himself with such integrity. i really respect and admire him for that i hope that this clarification can help heal the heart of those who were still unsettled by the first tweet

This apology is in relation to my 2018 cover video. In the song’s lyrics there’s a word which I’m never allowed to use. I’m ashamed of myself not knowing the background of the term, and I’m terribly sorry for all the people feeling offended. There’s no excuse.
