Kumioko is not my real name it is the name that I have chosen to use here. I am divorced and have 2 children, 1 boy and 1 girl and I live in Virginia near Washington DC. I was in the Marine Corps for over 13 years and am now in the Virginia Army National Guard. I was going to list what states, countries and cities they have visited after seeing this done by other users but after I determined that I had been to all 50 states, most major US Cities and several countries including Japan, Okinawa ( I count this as being separate from Japan), Canada, Mexico, Iceland, Norway and Puerto Rico I decided to just say it this way. I primarily edit US military biographies, especially Medal of Honor recipients but sometimes my ADD kicks in and I wander off and do other things from time to time. I submitted a request to be an admin a couple years ago and the experience left me with somewhat of a sour taste so I have not, nor intend to anytime soon, reapply regardless of my edit count. This is also why I have chosen not to run for the various roles available in WP. To hold these roles I feel, requires admin rights and so I have opted to pass on them. Although I do appreciate the EMAIL's and messages I have received swaying me in that direction.
As of March 21, 2011 I have exceeded 222,618 edits, created over 380 pages (not counting talk pages) and over 500 redirects.
Some milestones
- June 4, 2007 - 1st edit
- April 2008 - My first and only try for adminship.
- June 2010 - 1st time I made more than 10, 000 edits in a month
- December 2010 - Most edits I completed in 1 month (30, 654)
Some of my favorite sayings:
- It could be, that the purpose of your life, is to serve only as a warning to others.
- Every cloud has a silver lining, but every year hundreds of people are struck with lightning, while trying to find it.
- Those who keep a neat and tidy desk will never know the joy of finding something they thought had been lost, forever.

Personal User Award: the Oak Leaf and Acorn Hex Sign |
The stylized leaves of the white oak in their fall colors on this Pennsylvania Dutch hex sign are a symbol of strength; acorns denote youth and great prospects. This award is given as a courtesy for edits that strengthen and reinvigorate a Wikipage, even if they may not qualify for a particular Barnstar. While I may not have agreed with some of your AWB habits, or tagging WP:USRD articles under the US banner, I do know that all you were trying to do was help out the project. You are right, most state projects suck, and a lot of projects are inactive, but there are ones, such as USRD who are highly active that just seemed a bit... put off by your aggressiveness. Wikipedia needs users like you still, and I hope you do not leave for good. Thank you. Admrboltz (talk) 20:36, 26 January 2011 (UTC) |
