Why does the LED indicator on the HDD tray not light up or flash?

The connection between the backplane and the motherboard or the host control card is only a SATA data transmission cable. This cable does not contain the control signal of the LED. Therefore, in the definition of SATA HDD, SATA Power Pin11 is reserved for the staggered spinup/activity indication of the HDD. The HDD backplane of any NAS or server chassis is based on this specification as the indicator light of the HDD.
If your HDD tray cannot display this LED light, we recommend to check with HDD manufacturer if your HDD has a reserved LED signal that can be driven by SATA power pin11.

How to setup audio correctly?

Motherboards include software utility that helps auto-detect when audio ports are plugged in. You can set up each port to be either audio out or microphone in individually to match CS280’s front audio ports.
