研究者の学問の自由も、芸術家の表現の自由も、憲法で保障されている。しかし、それゆえに何をしてもいいのか、その行為が結局社会のだれに何をもたらすのか、だれかに都合よく利用されてはいないか。絶えず自己検証することが必要なんでしょうね。意外に、これは倫理的に深いテーマだと思いました

私が「排除アート」の問題にすごーく関心をもってしまうのはなぜだろう…と考えていた。やはり、芸術家という自由な表現者が、行政や企業による画策に乗っかって、人びとの自由を奪う事業に協力してよいのだろうか、というテーマに関わるのだと気が付いた。本当に、人ごとではないと身につまされる

うーん…。みなさん、「排除アート（hostile architecture）」というものにあまり耐性がないのかなあ…と感じました。この程度の指摘、そんな激烈な反応を受けるほどのものではないです。私たちが暮らしている街で、モノの物理的配置で人間の行動を制御するくらいのこと、いくらでもやられています
