Best of Mounted PvP General
* Click here to see a ranking of recommended Assistants (Mounted PvP).
Note: With the implementation of Star Level 10, the entire page is being revamped in stages.
So the ranking will fluctuate frequently for a while.
Also, the overall format is not yet consistent.

The following rankings are based on my personal opinion when the troop formation is specialized in Mounted Troop.
Example of troop formation – more than 90% mounted troops / less than 10% other troops / all troops are layered
Assumptions
Evaluation Criteria
For mounted troops, attack, HP, defense, and march size are all important by their nature.
(At the end of the game, ground generals with monstrous attack buffs are not uncommon, and ground troop attacks have few means of debuffing. Thus, HP and defense cannot be taken lightly.)
Therefore, generals with high values in these 4 areas are ranked higher
Also, if these values are close, the difference in buffs due to stats is taken into account.
Two types of rankings
Some generals are very difficult to obtain without paying for them.
In addition, the performance of each general varies greatly depending on whether or not they can maximize their 4 specialties.
And it is difficult to maximize all 4 unless you are heavily charged. (Reference: Specialty Guide)
Therefore, the ranking is divided into the case of no charge and the case of heavy charge.
If you pay no money
- General – Only available in the Tavern / Great General Chest / Relics.
- Specialty – Only the 3 left are considered.
- Awakened skill – Not considered.
If you pay a lot of money
- General – All
- Specialty – Maximize all 4.
- Awakened skill – considered All.
Other
Stats Format : Leadership / Attack / Defense / Politics

B-1) If you pay a lot of money 1 – March & Rally
Assumptions
- General – All
- Specialty – Maximize all 4. (Reference: Specialty Guide)
- Star level – 10 (Awakened)
Evaluation Criteria
The following 3 types are listed below, but the rankings are sorted by evaluation 2.
- Evaluation 1 – Considers only Buffs (Focus on Attack)
- Add up the percentages of the 3 types of buffs: attack, march size, and rally capacity.
- Evaluation 2 – Considers only Buffs (Focus on Attack & Durability)
- Add up the percentages of the 5 types of buffs: attack, defense, HP, march size, and rally capacity.
- Evaluation 3 – Considers Buffs & Debuffs
- If a general has a debuff, its percentage is added to the score of Evaluation 2.
- If debuffs for all types of troops, the debuff value x4.
Buffs by Stats
As for the buffs by stats, the values are at 5 stars because the value at 10 stars is currently unknown. However, I am assuming that the increase in value at 6-10 stars is the same for all generals, so there will probably be no impact on the ranking. (If I am wrong, I will correct the ranking)
Buffs by Skillbook
Basically, it is assumed that by using an assistant, the following 6 types are attached.
Attack, Defense, HP, Speed, March size, March Speed (Lv4 for each).
In other words, it is basically assumed that there will be no difference depending on the skill book.
However, if a general has a skill book that cannot be added, it is excluded from the buff value.
Overall Rating
For marching/rallying, I recommend Zhao Yun, Roland, Hannibal, Custer.
If only attack strength is important, Martinus is quite good, but I do not recommend him for overall evaluation including defense and HP.

Note
Hannibal & Roland’s Weaknesses
Hannibal & Roland can be considered the best general only when attacking (marching), but when reinforcing (alliance member’s city), or defending main city (on wall), his performance drops significantly.
If you are using them as your main general, some players may need to train a separate general for reinforcements.
(However, if you can’t maximize the 4th specialty, it may not be such a problem for some people.)
Note – The following cases are no problem. Attack buffs (march buffs) are applied.
– When participating in a rally / starting a rally by yourself
– When sending reinforcements / defending / attacking an occupied building on the map (Portal, Temple, etc.)
Detailed explanation: Buff / Debuff – Basic Guide
Martinus’ Restriction
Added on 11/4/2021 – With the ver4 major update, the dragon requirement for Martinus was changed from Pasture to Any Dragons, so this restriction is no longer in effect.
(This story is for those who can get the third dragon in the Wonder, the Nidhogg, so it may only be relevant to a very few.)
Regarding the mounted attack buffs that dragons have, there are differences as follows
Martinus – max +85%Other generals – max +125%
Of the skills that Martinus has, “mounted attack +15%” is conditional on attaching a pasture dragon. There are three types of Pasture dragons, but only Fafnir is suitable for mounted. And Fafnir’s mounted attack buff has a maximum value of +85% (theoretically). (Ladon would have a maximum of +100%, but since Ladon is supposed to be attached to ranged generals, you’ll probably never use it.)
If you can attach Nidhogg to Hannibal or Roland, the maximum mounted attack buff Nidhogg has is +125%. (Theoretically)
Therefore, if you are able to get Nidhogg, you should probably choose Hannibal or Roland instead of Martinus.

Thank you for your articles.
My question is, when an assistant is added and the same cavalry type general is used in PVP, after adding cavalry attack, defense, HP, and speed, what skill would you recommend adding one more?
Please see below.
Best Skill books Guide – what skills should you add?
Is martinus little buff got add if we reinforce our ally city?
i want to know who is better after ascending them to 10 stars.pls
I got custer last night and was able to add the mounted troop attack to him.
I can second this. Definitely able to add a mounted attack skillbook to Custer.
Thanks for the information!
Reflected in the article.
What is the process for trying to get Custer?
I got it from an epic general in a battlefield shop.
Hi, always thank you for precious information and opinion. I remember that you recommend mounted hp skills for martinus(So I added it for my martinus). But now I can see that you changed to recommend mounted defense skill. Can I ask the reason..? Thanks.
Can I ask about skills?
I want to know the reason why you recommned mounted hp skill than mounted defense skill?
Becasue I already added defence skill in my martinus TT
I am the one who told you about Bertrand’s skill book earlier. Leadership 117 +8.91, Attack 118 +8.91 Defense 114 +8.86 Politics 109 +8.65. Does the fact that it says “when leading the attack” mean that he is not as good for reinforcements as Hannibal? Thank you very much for your continued study.
Thanks for the information.
I can’t really recommend him for reinforcements.
If you have 4 specialties or 3 max, I would recommend Martinus or Li Jing.
I was able to add the cavalry attack skills to Bertrand du Guesclin.
Thank you for all your help and reference. I was able to put a lvl 4 cavalry attack skill book on Bertrand du Guesclin.
Thanks for the information.
where does James Bowie come as a wall general
I was lucky enough to get all three Hannibal, Martinus and Roland.
So, I delved in your article to make my final choice between the three.
Unfortunately we do not know how Defense and HP are used in the battle equation, so it is impossible to evaluate their contributions.
But still, based on the published values, I calculated the impact of their specialities taking into account their March Size buffs (e.g. 1 troop becomes 1.12 for Hannibal, and 1.18 for Roland).
T12 A Def HP
Mounted 10.989 8.199 21.652
Hannibal Martinus Roland Hannibal Martinus Roland
4 specialities 27.815 27.815 27.231 102% 102% 100%
10.101 10.101 13.061 100% 100% 129%
37.830 35.163 31.937 118% 110% 100%
3 specialities 23.385 22.154 23.989 106% 100% 108%
13.538 13.538 17.505 100% 100% 129%
14.769 17.846 16.209 100% 121% 110%
It is obvious that Roland is better with 3 specialities. But even with 4 specialities the differences look almost negligible.
So, I go with Roland, which for sure is better with 3 specialties. And even if I manage in the future to get all 4, I don’t lose much…I think.
sorry for the messy table,,,hope this time comes a little better

at 27 and using theodora (mounted attack/mounted attack against monster/luck) for bosses. Is bird of hurricane better (+10%) or level three celtic dragon? Assuming bird of hurricane and put dragon on pvp attacker, but unsure. any help appreciated!
In that condition, it is a bird of hurricane.
With Celtic Demon Lv3, the mounted troop attack buff does not reach +10%. (You can exceed it by adding mounted troop attack with refinement, but don’t do it because Celtic Demon is for ranged troops.)

I am wondering why Hannibal and Roland reverse places based on whether or not you coin. Can you clarify that please?
I have answered similar questions in past comments.
I have Martinus Hannibal and Roland, I want to know which one is no 1 , with all speciality unlocked.
See section B.
I am at Lvl23 Keep. I just brought Li Jing up to 4 stars and L20, with Lvl4 Mounted HP, Lvl 4 Mounted Def and Lvl 3 Mounted Speed. Thought I was good.
Then today I got Martinus.
Do I focus on bring up Martinus and making him my guy? Or stick with Li Jing?
I recommend switching to Martinus.
Can I use Martinus as a mounted defence general?
Why do you prefer to add march size skill than mounted hp?
Please see below article’s premise section.
Best Skills Guide – what skills should you add?
Tengo una duda, creo que las habilidades de Wei Qing son distintas
> I have a doubt, I think Wei Qing’s skills are different.
I’ve checked and can’t find anything wrong.
If you are talking about the skill book, that is an example of use. There is no absolute correct answer.
The ranking doesn’t make sense anymore since you added gens from relics to the no pay section. The order shouldn’t be different when gens appear in both sections.
As I wrote in the assumption.
A) no pay – only 3 Specialty
B) a lot of pay – 4 Specialty Maxed out
Therefore, the order should different.
The 4th specialty has a huge impact on the ranking. Also, many people cannot master this. (reason)
General rankings by most Youtubers and websites lack this perspective.
Why did you recommended add Speed cav skill book instead of HP skill book?
It is explained in the following article.
Best Skills Guide – what skills should you add?
Why don’t you have Dmitry listed as a reinforcement general, with his “Hero of Don River” buff – Increase the ground troops’ defense and HP by 20% and ranged troops attack by 30% when General is leading the army to reinforce? He is the only general in the game with a reinforce buff, so wouldn’t it make sense to use him as reinforcement general?
This appears to be a rework of Dmitry with one of the latest updates to the game. I got him early on and just held on to him, but don’t recall him having this buff or skills previously.
Dmitry is not an excellent mounted general. He is good when reinforcing with ranged troops and is already listed in the rankings in the following article.
Best of Ranged PvP General
Hi, between Roland and Hannibal, who will be best for PvP and Boss? If so, is the difference much?
If you want only attack, it is as per the above ranking.
If you want double-item drops in boss hunting, both are inappropriate.
I also believe that it is impossible for one person to be both a PvP general and a Boss hunting general.
The reason for this is that the Boss hunting general needs to add skill to a “mounted troop attack against monster”. This is a skill that is completely unnecessary for a PvP general.
For more information, please refer to the following article.
Best of Boss General / Monster Hunter
Thanks for the response mate. I should have framed my question better. My actual query was, between Roland and Hannibal, who would you groom for PvP and whom for boss. My opinion was Roland for PvP as he is bit well rounded and Hannibal for boss as his attack buffs are insane. Your thoughts please?
It’s the same for me.
For monster hunting, attack is the most important thing, so Hannibal.
For PvP, both are fine, but Roland is the choice by process of elimination.
(HP and defense are also important when fighting archers and siege, but Roland has better defense and Hannibal has better HP. (Skill/Attributes))
However, if you prefer PvP to monster hunting, I recommend Hannibal for PvP and Roland for monster hunting.
Who is the best calvary general for reinforcements
I added the ranking when reinforcing.
I would recommend Martinus.
Hi. I am back with a question on the march size. In particular, what is the maximum march size only from the rally spot and research, at k30, k32 and k35 if possible? (Monarch’s horn, general’s skill and equipment are not taken into consideration)
Recently, when thinking about your suggestion of March size skill for general that cannot use skill of damage (Minamoto, Martinus, etc), I discover that at high level pvp battle, march size increase is better than damage percentage increase. However, as for monster hunter, maybe the necessary number of troop would not reach the maximum number that rally spot and research can provide. So I would be grateful if you can help me with those data.
Thank you so much.
I am so sorry. I read your article about March size again. It is not superior as I thought, though plays an important role still. So I think the answer is not necessary anymore. Sorry for disturbing you
The maximum values for march size, based on rally spot and research alone, are as follows
k30 – 660,000
k35 – 1,260,000
If other factors are added, most people will probably get the following. (If not using march size items)
k30 – around 760,000
k35 – around 1,400,000

Thank you so much
It would be great if you could give us an evaluation of Cyrus.
Added to the ranking.
I don’t think he is a very good cavalry general.
The focus is on cavalry + ranged troops, and it seems half-baked.
Can you make list of “Best of Mounted Hunting General”
Hello, thank you for your excellent work, it has been very useful! I would like an opinion: I won my second general Martinus. I already have one developed for PVP (skillbooks) and I am thinking of developing the new one for monsters. So, I would sell my Li Jing (I also have 4 Baibars). Does having 2 Martinus, both with dragons, make any sense? Thanks
It depends on the following.
– Which dragons you have.
– Which troop types you are focusing on and which ones you are discarding. Or not, you are raising generals of all troop types.
If you have the following dragons,
– Celtic Demon, Fafnir, Norway Ridge, and The Dragon of Thebes.
And if you are raising generals of all troop types, your dragons will have the following uses
– Ranged: Celtic Demon
– Mounted: Fafnir
– Defender: The Dragon of Thebes
– Ground: Norway Ridge
In this case, it would be better to assign the second Martinus a Hurricane Bird instead of a Dragon.

what the meaning PvP?
It means “Player vs Player”.
What About Yui Fei? Is he any good for PvP?
It’s not useless, but it’s hard to recommend it as the best cavalry general.
Please see the answer to a similar question below.
HI….so for mounted PVP, Takeda is better thn Li Jing? Wat abt monster hunting, who is better Takeda or Li?
If you want to increase the specialty to the maximum, Li Jing is the way to go. If you don’t, there is not much difference between the two.
This has been very helpful.
I don’t have enough information about Aethelflaed, and I think it is suitable for cavalry, but what do you think?
She is suitable for cavalry, but only for hunting monsters, not for PvP.
Also, if you assume that the specialty is maxed out and you use the mounted troop attack skillbook Lv4, her mounted troop attack will be +120%, which is inferior to Hannibal and Martinus (+126%).
(You can’t use the mounted troop attack against monsters skillbook on Aethelflaed.)
Therefore, it is not recommended to spend the cost and effort of specialty on Aethelflaed.

Consultation which is better for mounted if I would have Takeda shingen and khalid …… To be able to improve it please I wait for your answer thank you

If you want to raise the specialty, Takeda Shingen will have more mounted buffs.
If you don’t consider specialty, neither is much different.

I don’t think they are the best, but both are suitable for boss battles and castle attacks.
————————————-
Good morning.
However, if you want to increase the “specialty” of general in the future, Takeda Shingen is better than Khalid.
(But in that case, Martinus or Li Jing is better than them.)
“Specialty” is unlocked when the general’s level reaches 25. After that, you need to use a lot of items to raise it. It’s quite a challenge.
The “specialty” of each general can be found in their portraits in the tavern.

Thank you for all your informative articles.
I have a question.
You have created articles on ranged generals, ground generals, and mounted generals, but is there any need for siege generals?
In the previous article on the roles of generals, there was no mention of a general who specializes in siege, so I was curious.
If there is a point to raising siege generals, it would be nice to have an article about it.
Thank you for your time.
I have created an article.
Best of Siege PvP General
Is there an area where you explain cultivating? I don’t understand why it minus some basic skills when I hit the button.
Please see the following article.
General Cultivate Guide
I’m always learning from you. Thank you very much. Is Washington a bad general?
As I added to the article, if you don’t max out your specialty, he is pretty low rank. It’s also hard because of the low stats increase.
Even if you max out the specialty and use the skill book Lv4, he still has 81% cavalry attack (you can’t use the attack skill book), 35% HP, and 62% defense.
It’s hard to recommend him as the best general.
Is Yue Fei lower than Roland?
Assuming the specialty is maxed out, even if you use the skill book Lv4, it is only 91% mounted attack, 25% mounted HP, and 45% mounted defense.
Therefore, it is inferior to not only Roland, but also El Cid and Li Jing. It’s hard to recommend him as the best cavalry general.
Why is Ulysses Simpson not included?
Article has been updated. If the general’s specialty is assumed to be maxed out, he will not be included because the difference between him and the top generals is too great. If you only pay a little money, he is #1, but I believe it is conditional. Please refer to the special note for details.
What about Li Jing? I can’t give him a skill book attack, but I can give him a march size.
As I added in the section on “A) If you only pay a little money”, if specialty is not taken into account, even if you add march size, it is inferior to Martinus and Barbarossa.
If you take specialty into account, it is still inferior to Martinus.
It’s hard for me to recommend him as the best general.
