Adam Rogers (@jetjocko), a senior tech correspondent at @thisisinsider, listened to over 40 hours of venture capital podcasts hosted by @a16z.

Why are there no public health officials or figures talking about this report?
Why do they even exist if they’re not going to discuss the latest **Federal data** on the fastest growing chronic illness on earth? #LongCovid
Because of government abandonment, ppl at high risk for COVID are locked out from accessing many parts of society. Don’t perpetuate that isolation. You may not know it but they are your friends & family. Reach out, do zoom calls, wear masks & hang outside with them. Be inclusive!
Sticking point in the negotiations between Musk and Twitter, per sources. Musk wants to add a line that it's contingent on financing. But the original deal had no such contingency:
The @CDCgov has decided to stop tracking and releasing COVID-19 case and death data on a daily basis
These metrics will now be updated only once a week, the agency said today
https://cbsnews.com/news/covid-19-cases-deaths-cdc-ends-daily-reporting-weekly-updates/…
For folks a bit confused here, this is Twitter rejecting the *conditions* on the deal (i.e. "drop the lawsuit" before I pay you), not the price (which Twitter has repeatedly accepted), because Twitter knows the conditions are stupid
I'm really tired of the updates on how our agencies continue to reduce access to information in an environment where everyone is asked to 'personal responsibility' themselves out of repeat infections.
Let's hope at least the weekly updates continue...

love to look up "vice layoffs" in an attempt to see the layoffs today, only to find vice layoff tweets from august 2021 in addition literally yearly at this point
It's clear to me that disability rights isn't a liberal or leftist issue. We're completely on our own, no support even from people who claim to fight for human rights. They either don't see us as human or ignorantly, willfully assume we don't need help. That's very much not true.
As a former call center customer service rep, this is so crucial . There’s nothing worse than putting the customer through a bad experience by forcing them to sit on hold, it only primes ppl to be angry and scream at u when u do get to them

These days if you're a big giant company with a phone center customer support team it should be criminal to (1) not have a feature that says "we'll call back when someone is available" or (2) at the very least have a "mute this fucking awful hold music that keeps repeating"
