ADHD is such a painful experience because I feel like I’m interested in doing so many things and then get immobilized by depression for not being able to commit unless that commitment is made like IMMEDIATELY upon wanting to do something
“they really be like: he visualized his
personal experience as a kid with ADHD and medication for it?!? DISGUSTING

A reminder for my ADHD folk, caffeine can have little to no effect on you, or it actually makes you calm down and concentrate or even sleepy rather than giving you energy
Unpopular opinion: I'm really anxious about OW2. I use the game as it is now as a way to relax and rewind my ADHD brain. I'm afraid of all the changes even if they're good.
trying to do homework but my adhd is so bad right now my god. why couldn't we hyperfixate on something useful like biology GIRL WHAT THE HELL IS LEGO NINJAGO
ADHD makes us impatient, which makes emotional regulation harder.
We don't just want to deal with our emotions, we want it to be dealt with NOW.
And time shortsightedness means sadness seems to go on forever.
We can't remember not feeling bad and so struggle to see past it.
The ADHD urge to over-explain yourself, hoping to avoid misunderstandings, but accidentally confusing people with your long explanations and causing misunderstandings.
One of the most profound things I read in my original journey to ADHD diagnosis was what Dr. Ned Hallowell calls “the cough drop sign” in the book, Driven To Distraction.
I’d never felt more seen before reading this quote.
It comes from one of Hallowell’s ADHD patients:
be careful who you bully in middle school if its the adhd kid who draws anime eyes in class 20 years from now theyll make one of those bestselling kids comics about their life that you get at scholastic book fairs and U will be explicitly named as the villain
Really wish mental health workers were better trained in ADHD and Autism. I interacted with critical mental health services over 70 times, and then I still had to make the discovery myself. Masking is why it was never detected.
If you're autistic and/or ADHD, and you are a scientist, inventor, or just very rich, you're "eccentric"
If you're autistic and/or ADHD and just do regular human things, you're "weird and annoying"
Hi there.
October is #ADHDAwarenessMonth.
ADHD is not a trend, not a myth, not a fake diagnosis to excuse laziness and hyperactivity.
ADHD is a neurological disorder.
There is no cure or quick fix.
We need help, not ridicule, acceptance, not dismissal.
