Hey all, I'm proud to announce the release of v1.30, exactly four months after v1.29. This release contains a few important fixes and improvements, as well as changes to the distributing of executables. Instead of two Windows executables, there's just one that's a hybrid of both. Instead of a .deb, AppImage, and Snapcraft, it's just AppImage. This greatly simplifies the download process and compiling process on my end. There are more changes that I won't list. That's all, enjoy!

Important: Please comment what OS you are on and if Picocrypt works.

In particular, I need confirmation that the .app.zip and AppImage work.

I know that ProtonMail is accessible from the browser and on Android/Apple, but will there ever be a desktop app?

I absolutely HATE using my credit card to pay for things online. The merchant doesn't need to know who I am to sell me beans (for example).

A lot of times I just don't buy anything just because of this pita. Is there a way around this?

It would be nice if there was a service that would buy for you using their credit card and you pay them in crypto. That way, neither them nor the merchant know who you are. Anything like that? Anything similar?

Hi all,

I’m new to NextDNS and am trying to perfect my adblocking. I’m using canyoublockit.com to test.

The only blocklist I currently have active is oisd. I haven’t added anything to the allowed list.

Based on my tests at the mentioned website NextDNS seems to block everything on the simple test except this ad load screen that loads before the page loads. In the eXtreme test it seems to block everything.

Then the worst is the advanced test where it doesn’t block anything. EDIT: Disabling the “Allow Affiliate & Tracking Links” toggle in nextdns seems to have fixed most things in the advanced test. Only thing it didn’t fix is the Pop-under ads. Idk if disabling that toggle will have any negative impacts though.

So I’m wondering if anyone can help me perfect my ad blocking and figure out what other blocklist I should have or what I should add to the denylist.

Thank you.

Is there a FOSS option available that you use?

I can install Play apps from the Aurora Store, but there's no way to pay for PhotoSync add-ons outside of the Play Store anonymously.

Tor is very slow and the connection is constantly getting lost.

I don't need this kind of privacy in Bisq. Can I just disable Tor?

Coming from Google, the lack of some basic features makes it not possible for me to make the switch yet.

The most important one: You can't view the upcoming weeks at a glance. The "Month" view doesn't scroll (obviously), so towards the end of the month you can't see what's coming without switching to the next month. Here's what I mean: Let's say it's the 30th today. 90% of the screen shows useless information (dates already in the past):

And I have to switch to the next month to see what's happening in 3 days in this case:

Compare it to Google's "4 weeks" view:

Another thing: why can't we color events? I would consider this a VERY basic feature. And no, setting up multiple calendars don't solve this, because that serves a different purpose (explained below).

Google calendar example: This is a quick mockup of someone's calendar:
