This admission needs to be read in tandem w/ Dodik’s endorsement of the HDZ in Bosnia today. There is a transparent, coordinated effort underway to undermine the sovereignty of Bosnia’s institutions. It’s a matter of public record now, not even analysis.

Also, not that this is news per se, but now that the Croatian government has explicitly acknowledged massaging HR Schmidt to enact its policies in Bosnia, and that he was a willing interlocutor in these same, months-long exchanges — a real crisis of legitimacy for the

Schmidt was already widely seen as a Croatian proxy by much of the Bosnian public, especially after the summer’s events and protests, but now it’s hard to see how he’ll ever credibly shake that accusations bc it seems like a broadly accurate description.

This statement appears to have been designed by PM Plenkovic’s cabinet to discredit Pres Milanovic’s own forays in Bosnia but in the process they’ve basically torpedoed what little credibility Schmidt had left in Bosnia. Political self-immolation all around.
