So I'm assuming Lucy is secretly killing arasaka hunters that's after David since the Tanaka incident. That's why she's tired and does the bathing
Either that or she is eliminating anybody that knows/learns anything about her. Or perhaps both.
I just know this isn’t gonna have a happy ending :(
Welcome to Cyberpunk Choom.
Didn't even got to get attached to Julio... rip
So David is in danger of going cyberpsycho, and something is up with his experimental implants and Lucy may already know?
So David is in danger of going cyberpsycho
Nah, I think that's just a defect from the arm itself.
David is an absolute dumbass, didn't learn from what happened to Maine and upgraded himself way too much.
Does it help if Eren Jaeger was his voice actor? Bryce Papenbrook lol
Weird to see them naked. But kinda make sense since more and more of their body becomes chrome. No surprise if their dicks are also customizable
They are. There is a sidequest in Cyberpunk 2077 that mentions it or deals with it.
So I guess in this world the song "Detachable Penis" could actually happen.
Oh shit has Lucy been killing people trying to decode the files all this time? I remember seeing David picture on the list last episode so she's been protecting him this entire time.
wait what now, what does she need to do that? They after David or something?
Damn home boy got swole lol. That fight between the malestrom Borg and David was awesome. Seeing it in slowmo from the sandy then seeing how it actually played it in real time really shows how OP that thing is. Anyone know the song that is playing during the malestrom fight?
OK, I've definitely got to re-watch with dubs once I've finished my first run with subs. The English cast is pretty stacked.
Falco'
It too me a second to realize who you were talking about and then it clicked. I had to check it out on a re-watch haha. Like others have said, I'll have to re-watch it all with dubs at this rate.
Da-hayum, Rebecca wasn't kidding. David got swole. The little guy we knew is not only living large now judging by that penthouse, but he is large too. And on top of that, he's already made a name for himself.
I honestly thought Kiwi died last episode. Good thing that assumption was wrong. Wish I could say the same for Maine and Dorio. Poor Julio, though. Here I was thinking David would get his own starry-eyed rookie to mentor for longer than a single mission.
And is it me or did Rebecca just get even more unhinged than she already is? Doesn't help that she seems like she's trying to compete with her late brother too judging by those giant ass hands. Poor gal's chasing the wrong tail, though. At first I believed she might have the slightest chance since I thought Lucy was being distant even towards David, but nope, they literally live together.
Speaking of which, that was a rough backstory. I see now what those weird black-and-white flashes were last episode. To think she was some form of "internet child soldier" homegrown by Arasaka. I guess for her, going to the moon feels like the only escape from her past. Kinda reminds me of Akudama Drive with the twins wanting to escape to the moon too.
Damn, though. Guess the reason she hadn't been joining them on gigs wasn't because she got too shaken up (at least not in that way), but because she's been spending her time and energy being a boogeyman for anyone trying to get to the Data she saw about David.
But fuck, I don't think David's learned from his mentor's mistake. He should really reconsider the path he's taking. You can only go so far even if you're "built differently".
What's us with the UI subtitles? Why are words sometimes repeated?
It is how they speak, if you listen to the English dub that's how they talk while on the phone
It is like chat lingo but for voice chats
I might have missed something, but was Lucy and the other kids trained to go after and find Alt Cunningham ?
The kids were sent into the Old Net to “find Arasaka’s purpose. Searching for legacy info, lost knowledge.”
David seems really cool now but so was Maine at one point. He’s going to do something he regrets one day, as in somewhere in the next few episode lol He got super modded now damn.
Is it me or is the background music during the interview with Faraday from Deus Ex HR?
(Hengsha mostly)
Wow they dropped Adam Smasher's name, wonder if he and silverhand will show up.
It feels we should've gotten a couple more episodes before the time skip.
Typically referred to as a prologue if it's the same series that continues.
That was the akira bike right? I’m rewatching & around 16 mins in they go to look at the stars.
This show was damn fucking good. That’s a love letter to an og
I wasn't expecting that timeskip.
Also, I thought most of the crew was dead, but I see Kiwi wasn't! I would've expected her to be out if he punched her and pulled her out while she was in ICE.
Holy shit David got buff. He's going way too fast thought, I really hope he doesn't become a Cyberpsycho soon... but there are too many flags saying he will. Why do you even keep those hands, buddy? :s
Well Kiwi only got her mouth ripped out and not her head bashed in so guess it was easily fixable for cyborgs lol.
And I think the foreshadowing is that some other crew mates will face their end. The constant hand shaking scenes is def a red flag. But I'll still be captivated when it happens
Kinda late to the party but I gotta say this: The jump from ep6 to ep7 was very jarring.
Ep 6 David: Competent, but still has a lot to learn. Almost got himself killed because he was about to take on MaxTac. Overall he's the guy we knew since the beginning.
Ep 7 David: Is the leader of the group, behaves like a hardened criminal and even has fans.
Felt like I was watching someone else this episode. I don't understand why there had to be a fast-forward.
This is how I feel about it. I just finished ep8 and I'm really not rooting for David as he is now, there's the time skip but it seems like he's learned nothing through his prior experiences.
Im also late to the party and just finished ep 7 as well. I would like to think that the big time skip was due to netflix only wanting this show to be 10 episodes total and not because of the writing. Feels like they def could have made these 50min episodes too. I havent played the game, but I hear that there is a lot of content tin the game. So I just chalk this up as netflix executives saying "hey wrap this up in 10episodes".
i dont understand ..is there time jump or what ? coz previous episode he was in shock, sad hugging an arm inside a car... and now he is jacked & kicking ass as if nothing happened..dafuq is going on?
Yes there was a time jump. I don't know how long but it has to be more than 1 month. Considering that David made a lot of upgrades and that they seem to have made a good amount of money.
Yes. When lucy was inside Tanaka's ICE, she encrypted the data related to David. However there was still some tracing left. Arasaka keeps sending people to decrypt the data, and she's goin after those guys and killing them.
I thought they gonna use the male V voice actor from the game.
Turns out only the opening did : (
