A retirement homein Taiwan, has issued a public apology after revealing that they hired a stripper perform a performance in front of retired soldiers of said country.
The events took place at the Taoyuan Veterans Home, a public facility for retired military personnel in Taiwan. Apparently, the institution paid a dancer to perform on the occasion of the celebration of the Mid-Autumn Festival, an important day in Chinese culture, which consists of gathering to celebrate the rice and wheat harvests of the season.
The the video was recorded last Thursday and spread thanks to an assistant from the nursing home. After it was posted on social media, the clip went viral and caught the attention of thousands of internet users In the whole world.
The recording shows a masked dancer wearing lace lingeriewhile doing his show in front of the elderly people of the residence, who are even seated in wheelchairs.
The men in the video seem to be enjoying the show and even they took advantage of the situation to touch the woman’s bodywho danced and performed flexibility movements.
The video sparked outrage in social networks, due to the actions of the dancer. Given the bad comments, the asylum was forced to release a statement that read: “The intention of the event was to entertain the residents and make them happy. We are truly sorry for the offense caused”.
In the same way, the institution admitted that the dancer’s actions were “too enthusiastic and fiery”, so they would be “more careful” when planning such events in the future. The veteran’s home added that residents also had a quiet game of bingo and karaoke.
Finally, they pointed out that The Mid-Autumn Festival is one of the most important festivals in Asian culturethat’s why they were partying inside the asylum.
