英雄伝説 創の軌跡 (はじまりのきせき)

No Japanese text?
The store page only show Japanese audio but not text. Why?

I hope they just forgot to add it tbh
They didn't forget. The one who holds the license to Japanese text is Clouded Leopard Entertainment who will be releasing a PC port in Japanese/Chinese/Korean this year. https://www.gematsu.com/2020/12/the-legend-of-heroes-hajimari-no-kiseki-coming-to-switch-pc-in-summer-2021-in-japan-and-asia
... so if we want the japanese version for crosssbell games and cs games outside of Hajimari we need the NISA version because clouded leopard only handles chinese and korean, but for Hajimari somehow it's clouded leopard that does the japanese version instead?

Really, the foreign licensing for this series is a massive mess from start to finish.

I don't think that's the case. Other Clouded Leopard releases on Steam never included Japanese text. Only their Switch releases were confirmed to have Japanese text.

The Japanese PC version should still be tied to NISA's version, unless something changed recently.

TBH, I'd rather buy Clouded Leopard's version. They release faster. If the right to publish these games in Japanese language has been shifted to Clouded Leopard I'll be more happy.

Falcom needs to get their licensing ♥♥♥♥ together.
The screenshots have Japanese text, lol.

From what I have observed, Falcom pretty much gives the license for Japanese text to whoever releases the port first.
Japanese text, being the original, should be a shared license for every publisher releasing in another language. we're in 2021, not 2000.
I thought we went away from game nto including the option of playing in original language ages ago. How come Falcom didn't get the memo after all this time?

Some XSEED releases did patch in Japanese language options way after the fact in the past, so it might not even be a license issue...

That sounds more likely to be a license issue. They just managed to sort it out.
Prettu sure its a thing that some Japanese companies dont want to let publishers release the games in japanese.
Usually the case that they set a higher price in japan.
The page for CLE's version of Hajimari is up confirming Japanese support.

That's great. They also changed the image and now display the Japanese logo instead of Chinese. That's perfect.

What about Ao & Zero?
I don't see how that's "perfect". Now even more different companies are involved in the japanese version, with potential incompatibility with save games or other annoyances.
Again, why isn't the original version available in ALL release? That's the least to ask for in that case. Every game or almsot does that nowadays.
Personally, if I cannot use save game from the crossbell games into hajimari (and I don't really care it brings little), this removes a good part of my motivation of buying the official crossbell games from NISA once they'll be out, because I've already played them in Japanese outside of the PC version anyway. I'm more t han willing to buy the crossbell and NISA's version of Hajimari, but all I ask is that NISA's version of Hajimari have VO just every single of their previous games. I don't understand how this is not a thing by default :/

Just buy games from Clouded Leopard from now on, and stick with their version.

It's perfect, because we don't have to deal with NISA's bad localization, content alteration, slowness, etc. anymore.

They can take 4-5 years to translate, rewrite the dialogues, dub the games into English all they want. I'm finally OUT of their cycle. I can't ask for anything better than this.

Clouded Leopard is releasing Hajimari in 6 weeks while NISA will release theirs in 2023. What a joke.
