More Info on 'The Queen's Handbag'
The official Harry Potter website has given us some more information on The Queen's Handbag, the play that Emma will be starring in the 25th of this month. Still no confirmation as to whether Emma will actually be in attendance, but we'll keep you posted as news comes in.

HP.com says: "As part of the event, Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint, Emma Watson and Matthew Lewis will appear in character as Harry, Ron, Hermione and Neville in a filmed segment on the Gryffindor common room set recommending a spell for the Palace to use in order to apprehend a thief. It is this spell that ultimately leads to them catching the crook."

Thanks to HPFZ for the tip!

Emma to star in special play for Queen's 80th birthday
Emma will be performing in a special play for the Queen's 80th birthday celebration along with Harry Potter co-stars Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint, Matt Lewis and Julie Walters. Kelly Osbourne and Jonathan Ross have also been cast in the play, being staged at Buckingham Palace on June 25. The play, called The Queen's Handbag, is part of the Children's Party at the Palace. It will be broadcast on BBC One and the CBBC Channel on the day.

Thanks TLC!
New OoTP Filming Photos
New photographs of OoTP filming have surfaced on LondonTaxiTour.com of the crew on the River Thames and of Hagrid's Hut. Last year, David Yates had this to say about filming on the Thames: "So far, we have spent a lot of time on boats on the Thames. I want to do a great big wizard chase past the London landmarks and it is going to be very exciting, but it has not been easy to set up."

LondonTaxiTour.com writes that, "During the middle of May we spotted the film crew filming along the River Thames, speeding up and down the river - ideas for what they were doing - We think they were practicing the flying brromsticks (using special effects) scene where Harry arrives in London from Privet Drive to stay at Grimmauld Place."

OotP Filming Update
Thanks to Mugglenet for letting us know that This is North Scotland has published an Order of the Phoenix filming update. In the article, it states that film crews have arrived in the West Highlands, Glenfinnan, Glencoe and Glen Etive.

And the first of the action saw a Harry Potter double on location at Glenfinnan, in front of Bonnie Prince Charlie's Monument, skimming flat stones across Loch Shiel. Film crews in boats recorded the action, as excited tourists visiting the monument looked on eagerly.

Local man Donald MacLean who was watching from the loch shore, said: "Once Harry's double got the hang of it he was able to send the stones quite a long way." Glenfinnan will figure prominently in Phoenix, with the famous train the Hogwart's Express crossing its famous railway viaduct.

The article goes on to say that filming for Hagrid's Hut has been done by filming with a computer-equipped helicopter to bring new light to the Hut.

Meanwhile, in Glencoe this week, computer-aided filming from a helicopter has brought a new dimension to Hagrid's (Robbie Coltrane's) Hut in Clachaig Gully . Earlier, the movie makers succeeded in getting snow scenes at Glen Etive.

Emma Named One of Best British Actors
Emma Watson, Daniel Radcliffe, and Rupert Grint have come up at number 9 on Netscape's "The Best of the British" actors list!

"Yes, as long as these "Harry Potter" stars continue to do movies together, we will continue to categorize them together. I'm sure they don't mind - after all, they're three of Great Britain's richest teenagers."

Ralph Fiennes also took the number 8 spot. "He's what we like to call the George Clooney of England, except with more talent and less girlfriends. Hey, it all evens out!"

Congratulations to everyone.

Reminder: Goblet of Fire had been nominated for three MTV Movie Awards in the categories of "Best On-Screen Team" (Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint, and Emma Watson), "Best Villian" (Ralph Fiennes), and "Best Hero" (Daniel Radcliffe). Voting ends tomorrow but you can put in your last minute vote here!
Rumor: OotP Filiming Along Thames
Mugglenet reader Hollie has been saying that for the past few days, filming of Order of the Phoenix has been taking place in the Butlers Wharf area along the Thames. This makes sense because last year, director David Yates said this in an interview: "So far, we have spent a lot of time on boats on the Thames. I want to do a great big wizard chase past the London landmarks and it is going to be very exciting, but it has not been easy to set up."
