For Minecraft Bedrock Edition, the so-called Java Parity Update has been released, which adds many features and functionality from the Java Edition. But it's still not Nether Update.
As you know, the Java Nether Update, version 1.16, has just been released. There is one important point here. Snapshot for Java is not a final release, but essentially a beta version. The full release of the update will be available simultaneously on Java and Bedrock, which was confirmed by Mojang employee Helen Z on Twitter.
Therefore, version 1.15 for Bedrock, expected by many as the Nether Update, turned out to be completely different. However, this news is still great. The fact is that at the moment the versions of Java and Bedrock differ in number and functionality, and updates, as well as Mods Minecraft, come out at different times. That is why the main task of the Java Parity Update, as well as subsequent updates, is to equalize both versions of the game. Until the update numbers match. That is, Nether Update will be released with the same version as in Java - 1.16.
What's new
The new features of Bedrock Edition include the following. Now, as in the Java version, you can place a pumpkin over empty space, objects thrown on the ground are displayed in 3D, and a boat placed on a cactus breaks. In addition, plants can now be taken out of the pot, and puffer fish will gradually inflate when the player approaches.
In addition to changes that equalize both versions of the game, 1.15.0.51 fixes some bugs and other minor errors, including those related to graphics. A complete list of improvements can be found on the official website.
