No reason for action given, but an item, “Allegations of Administrative Misconduct,” is on agenda for Monday’s school board meeting
The principal of Tucumcari High School has been placed on administrative leave but the school district is not saying why the action was taken, the Quay County Sun reported.
The newspaper said that according to Assistant Superintendent Dennis Roch, Principal David Castillo was put on administrative leave as of 3 p.m. Wednesday.
Roch declined to comment on the nature of the allegations or to give a reason for the administrative leave, the Sun reported.
The newspaper said an executive session for the discussion of “Allegations of Administrative Misconduct” has been placed on Monday’s agenda for the regular meeting of the Tucumcari Public Schools Board of Education.
Castillo could not be reached for comment, the Sun reported.
