I think if it’s like a mix and match of different levels setpieces, it could be kinda interesting in a way. Further emphasizing the idea of these places being Sonic’s memories, hinting that they’re kinda warped you know?

I’m not trying to rile people up, but I don’t care as long as this is the only instance of this. It’s the tutorial stage. New Sonic players haven’t even played Unleashed. Old players can go through the stage like it’s whatever. It’s not meant to be grand. It’s not the main game.

It is scummy to straight up pull from an older game they are not planning to port to anything else anytime soon, but I have so many things to worry about in life than a tutorial stage in an open world Sonic game. If all cyberspace levels are recycled though, that’s fucked.

actually half of the post about that is criticizing how that tutorial stage is linear and boring but i will still play it because sonic frontiers does look promising and the stages do look interesting

Didn’t they say that these levels are like taken from Sonic’s memories? This being similar in shape makes total sense. There’s prolly going to be a lot more levels like this, and a lot of original ones too!
