I see Rockstar are going full fuckers mode again, issuing copyright strikes to any GTA video they can find - including both my prototype videos. So now they're trying to block all release of anyone's work on a game - and any old development footage.

Isn't that effectively some sort of history erasure? Also, if that includes the first 2 GTA games & expansions, then that's the only thing they've done in relation to them in years, as they've effectively been abandoned at this point, & there's no way to legitimately buy them!

Yeah. Great example was the salty youtuber who impersonated themselves as one of Bungies partners to issue false takedowns.
Bungie then proceeded to sue them and youtube (due to how easy it is to cheat the system)

It shows how absolutely immoral these game companies are. GTA makes them SOOOO much money and yet they complain and want to target videos that LITERALLY promote the series, etc. Goddamn, NOTHING is enough money for these companies.

One could make an argument it's important to archive this stuff even from the point of the history of game development. Just because a company can doesn't mean it's good that they do or would - I would argue it's harmful in some cases actually.

Not even surprised. Rockstar has lost all credibility long ago. They unfortunately make great games but the company and their parent company is so horrible. Bad decision after bad decision. I like to hope one day it will change, but it won’t
