6: We urged the Secretary Of State for Defence to end the British Army’s discriminatory ban on people who were HIV positive. We were delighted when that ban was lifted on World AIDS Day.

3./ In our letter to the MoD we pointed out that since 2013 doctors and dentists with HIV have been able to conduct invasive procedures and the @UK_CAA in 2019 lifted the ban on HIV positive pilots, since they present no additional risk compared to other civilian pilots.

Our thoughts this morning are with Salman Rushdie, a brave man who has dedicated his life to promoting great literature and freedom of expression. Like so many others we hope all will be well for him and we stand against the bigotry and hatred expressed in the attack.

We must assume that Wickes have not understood the significance of this slogan. They cannot seriously believe that lesbians, gay men and bisexuals may not organise in our own interests without the permission of trans people.
