Freemasonry is not mutually exclusive to Christianity. The G symbolizes the same God, sometimes referred to as the 'divine architect'. Masons do not generally reject Christian teachings. They do reject the political power/ambition if the Roman Catholic Church.

Mr. Hogg I get that you wanted to honor your grandfather...you already have by living the life you're living and fight your fight. In contrast you have to earn the right to wear those cufflinks. Think of yourself wearing them as stolen valor until you become a brother.

He was a mason. That's still a thing, you should look into your local chapter or lodge, I don't know too much else, I'm a little too absurd for membership (I don't believe in a supreme being, but I'm ha ha absurd not boo hoo). Feel it could be a neat shared experience for you
