It is a shrine that enshrines Sugawara no Michizane, the god of learning, and is called Yushima Tenjin. It is also famous as a famous place for plum blossoms. In the precincts, there is a copper torii gate (a cultural property designated by the capital) and a strange iceman stone (a cultural property designated by the ward) for finding lost children. In 1995, the shrine was renovated with Japanese cypress. There are three slopes leading up to the precincts: Otokozaka, Onnazaka, and Meotozaka.
