With the new mobile controller for iPhone, can we expect an Android version to be in the works if demand is good for it?

It's just based on a bastardized reading of the date (Pa Tsu). Tomorrow 8/3 can be read as Hachi Mitsu (hachimitsu means honey) so it is unofficially Honey Day. 11/29 "ii ni ku" aka "ii niku" aka Good Meat Day. They have a bunch of them like that.

The Japanese have a bunch of word/date puns for fake holidays. 8/2 can be bastardized to Pa/Tsu aka PanTsu. 8/3 is Hachi Mitsu aka Honey Day. 11/29 is "ii ni ku" aka Good Meat Day.

I think developers are still dealing with the long tail of covid delays, since this will have started dev during covid quarantine etc.
返信先: さん
The alternative is what? Rush it out the door anyways like BF2042 or CP2077? Nobody builds a game looking to delay. And Fatshark has a lot of experience at horde-wave games even...

If they're out of ammo atm, I wonder if they foolishly decided to stop moving them around until more is delivered.

Also, it may still support cars, but tanks and other military vehicles, especially loaded with supplies may not make it.
Calli's roommate has been doing a series of live concerts at conventions across the US and possibly elsewhere and she's "along for the trip" :) Maybe some UMG business as well?

They made a simple business calculation: Would the revenue gained from continued support offset the wages spent on those developers with only a few thousand concurrent players a day. The answer was apparently no. Welcome to quarterly business reports.

I look at it this way: Their revenue comes from 5% of players, which means the majority of their dev focus is on systems aimed at those players or turning F2P into those players. I'd rather play a game that respects my time than grindwall me to try to make me pay.

The primary development team was moved away from 2042 within weeks of release. A token patching team was put in its place instead.

EA always does this. They had weak support for BFV, dropped Anthem immediately, dropped 2042 immediately. They're doubling down on Specialists for the next BF, so be prepared for that one to also be DOA and dropped immediately. BF1 25M sales. 2042 less than 5M sales...

Is anyone actually surprised by this? EA has a long history of not standing behind their products. If they don't perform well out the gate, they're essentially DOA and will do the bare minimum to not get sued.

That is by design. It's like boiling frogs, they ease you into it and get you invested before turning up the heat. The end result is you either pay or waste time grind for meager drops. It takes 10 years as F2P to max out one character if you were to play every day.

How many hours a day have you been playing? If you have no Paragon levels, it's probably bc most people have blown well past you and competing in a different bracket.

They apply the entire book of scummy psyops manipulation and gating to get people to build habit-forming addiction to playing and spending money. Yet the game is basically a bottomless abyss you'll never fill. The $110k is min, it could be higher they can't tell bc of overlap sys

I believe there was still a viable crossing in Staryi Saltiv. They did it a few weeks ago during the initial counterattack out of Kharkiv.

The monetization is about as gross as it gets, but if you can ignore the constant popups and psyops to spend, there is a core of good story and gameplay systems there to put a few dozen hours into. To engage outside of that costs 100s to 1000s of dollars.

Yeah, level is just the beginning. The endgame is predicated on running elder rifts until your eyes bleed, and unless you're applying legendary crests your rewards will be lackluster.

I'm sure there are, but that just goes to show how hyper-aggressive MTX have tainted and overshadowed peoples perceptions of an otherwise quality game. I really do feel for the devs that set out to make great games and mgmt keeps letting them down.
返信先: さん
This is literally demanding 10x the money that Mihoyo asks for whaling in Genshin, and many people consider that to be bad. $100k to max out a character is "Fucking wut?" tier greed.
返信先: さん, さん
How does that combat views about P2W? Nobody is saying the game isn't technically competent, they're saying additional systems are designed to wring every last bit of cash out of players via psychological manipulation and greed.

Yep, Blizzard has decided to double down on being the villain even after everything over the last several years. You'd think they would want to improve their image, but no.

You don't need NFTs for trading items in a game... You don't even understand what you're talking about.

And nowhere more abundantly evil than Blizzard mgmt for psychologically preying on customers with these microtransactions. $60 MSRP for a normal game. $110 for a single 5star gem in Diablo Immortal. I can see who really sold their soul to the devil, Blizzard.

Similar experience to D3 but since it's mobile they think they can demand thousands of dollars for the same. Preying psychologically on people with poor impulse control or ones that want to be able to compete in time trials etc. Blizz has fallen really low.
返信先: さん
IMHO it's a matter of principles. Blizzard is perfectly fine with fleecing people for thousands of dollars for the same level of content that would be $60-70 on PC. But since it's mobile that makes it okay, right? Also the gameplay is compromised to goad people into buying.

It's fine as an ultracasual time-killer, but if you want to invest in it at all it demands an egregious amount of money.

Yep. $110 for a legendary gem and you need to feed multiple into a base gem to upgrade it.

There's blowing money in the store to support a game, and then there's $110 for a single gem. Of which you need 4-5 of them to max out the base gem. One of many gems in your equipment. And they have nag windows that popup asking for cash. Blizz even asking that much is an insult
