遺伝自体複雑怪奇で、進化の分野でも適者生存だけでなく中立進化も合わせて考える様になったし、そもそもDNAのデコードには幾つかのヴァリアントが有り、1つのDNAから複数のアミノ酸配列を指定出来たりするので、優れた形質が伝わるとは限らないし、何を持って優秀とするか時代によって違う。
