Xue Yiwei is an acclaimed author of twenty books in Chinese, including five novels, five collections of short stories and novellas, and five literary essays.
薛忆沩生于郴州、长于长沙,现居蒙特利尔。他曾获计算机科学学士学位,英美文学硕士学位,语言学博士学位。他已经出版二十部作品,包括《遗弃》、《空巢》等五部长篇小说,《深圳人》、《首战告捷》等五部中短篇小说集和《文学的祖国》、《与马可波罗同行》等五部文学随笔集。他的作品已经被译成英、法、瑞典、德、意等文字。
Born in Chenzhou and growing up in Changsha, Xue Yiwei has been living in Montreal since 2002. He has received a BA in Computer Science, a MA in English Literature, a PhD in Linguistics. “A maverick in contemporary Chinese literature” (to quote Ha Jin), he is acclaimed author of twenty books in Chinese, including five novels, five collections of short stories and novellas, and five literary essays. His works have been translated into English, French, Swedish, German and Italian.
