      Chairman

My name is Yoshichika Hemmi, and I am the Representative Director and Chairman of Systena Corporation, I would like to thank you for your continued support.

This year is our 41th year in business.

That is undoubtedly down to the ongoing support and understanding of our customers, business partners and shareholders, and above all to the tireless hard work put in by our employees, who keep the company going on a daily basis.

COVID-19 has created unprecedented turbulence for the world. With rising vaccination rates, the risk of severe symptoms is falling. The time to switch to aggressive management towards a post-pandemic era is drawing near.
However, war broke out in Ukraine, posing a new threat to global security, which is essential for economic activity This has led to supply chain disruptions and to shortages of semiconductors and all other commercial items. The world is suddenly experiencing high inflation.

Management approaches and business styles vary considerably, depending on whether the economy is experiencing inflation or in deflation.
At a time of deflation when the prices of goods are falling, latecomers have an advantage. In contrast, at a time of inflation, we believe that the management approach of taking the initiative is an effective strategy.
However, acting thoughtlessly for the sake of taking the initiative could be dangerous in a situation with high costs and rising prices.
Where to take the initiative is important. We must make a smarter allocation of management resources and a more careful selection of areas to invest in.

In line with this management strategy, we will further accelerate our basic management policy of shutting down and launching businesses. We will make use of our strengths in growth areas and swiftly inject management resources into markets where we can win.

We will also change our business style. We will not only take the conventional action of strengthening our own sales capabilities. We will also work actively on alliances with partners possessing sales capabilities in order to boost sales of our goods and services.

In terms of human resources development, we will introduce a new style of education that is appropriate to an era of inflation.
Specifically, we will shift the training policy from the conventional milestone-based training to on-the-job training in a bid to quickly prepare our massively recruited staff to contribute to the company.

We have been running a project of management reforms through data management for five years. The project constructed a system with the use of our Canbus. service. We started introducing the system in fiscal 2019. After several modifications, it began full operation in the previous fiscal year.
This has reduced the expenses of operating internal systems from several hundred million yen per year to zero. Operation of the system at the discretion of individual departments means that data necessary for business management can be acquired on a real-time basis. These data include necessary operational data, order management data, profit management data, engineers' skills data, customer management data, and data on management of sales earned by individual employees. Using functions to create graphs and tables, it visualizes the management.
After this data management system was introduced, we reduced unnecessary operations, improved the likelihood that we would receive orders, and instituted rigid technology management to boost productivity. As a result, we improved our profitability significantly.

We are currently executing a medium-term management plan that will conclude in the fiscal year ending March 31, 2025. We will not change its goals despite the rapidly changing business circumstances.
With a view to attaining our goals of 101 billion yen in net sales and 15.2 billion yen in operating profit, we will not be afraid of inflation, but will turn it into an opportunity to achieve a breakthrough.

The Systena Group will work at full capacity to contribute to the regeneration and recovery of the Japanese economy from the damage caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.

I want to conclude my message by extending my heartfelt condolences to those who have lost loved ones due to COVID-19 and my sincerest wishes for an early end of the conflict in Ukraine and for world peace.
