If you've been misled by misinformation about us online, let's set the record straight:
* We are a survivor-led child sexual abuse prevention organization
* Experts recognize us, advise us, and share our approach
* Smears and hate do more harm than good
Of course they're distraught, the reactionary right perverted the term used by sexual abuse survivors to describe what happened to them and instead just smeared all LGBTQ people with it. This directly hurts survivors and aids actual abusers.
Attacking child protection advocates does nothing to prevent abuse, yet it continues to be a first resort for extremists and opponents of abuse prevention efforts. If you are a CSA prevention advocate who has been targeted, we have a guide on staying safe

“It’s weird that they frame abuse as a ‘societal problem’ yet demand only technological solutions for it. Perhaps it would be more effective to use their funding to adopt harm-reduction approaches, hiring more social workers to implement them?”
“It’s about understanding that part of someone’s character we never want to see again and making sure they put the right foot forward”. Today we’re sharing some insightful thoughts from Professor
We also wish that preventing child sexual abuse was as easy as making some angry posts on Twitter. We've just accepted that it isn't and moved on to methods that actually work.
"Child molesting is a crime, as is any use of CSAM. But pedophilia is not illegal, nor does every pedophile commit a crime. It is defined not by action, but by attraction"
Louisiana has quietly passed a bill allowing parents to sue companies and creators who post porn on social media sites (or really, anywhere on the internet).
"Act 440" has been signed into law by the Governor, and takes effect on Jan 1.

Did you know Twitter isn't the only social media platform that amplifies harassment and misinformation targeted at abuse prevention advocates? We previously called out Tumblr for banning experts while continuing to platform pro-abuse rhetoric.
"Most sexually explicit and pornographic content is legal, and engaging with such content on social media platforms allows individuals to build communities and explore their identities."

Reddit moderators recently notified users that randomly slandering LGBTQ people as being "groomers" violates the platform's policy against targeted harassment. Twitter should follow their lead.

In the United States, up to 70% of sexual offenses against children are perpetrated by other children, typically a slightly older relative or playmate who offends in the context of ignorance, impulsivity, and convenience, not predation.

The reasons why a child may cross a sexual boundary are different from the reasons why an adult may sexually harm a child.
When sexual harm happens between children, these behaviors should be met with understanding, compassion, redirection, and education.

Due to a recent uptick in harassment, we've limited replies for now, but we're still here to help!

Our forum is a great place ask questions:
"Sex positivity is both a guiding belief and a historical movement aimed at reducing societal shame and stigmas surrounding sex, sexuality, and gender expression."
