Measure P, a $41.6 million bond measure in the Sausalito Marin City School District, won handily Tuesday, taking 72.75% of the vote, with 100% of precincts reporting.

The measure needed a 55% majority approval to pass.

“We are thankful that voters are choosing to support our students with bond dollars for much-needed capital repairs, safe and healthy schools, outdoor learning spaces and technology upgrades that will allow us to offer school facilities comparable to what other children in Marin enjoy,” district Superintendent Itoco Garcia said.

The bond measure will cost property owners $30 per $100,000 of assessed value, raising about $2.5 million annually for capital repairs at both of the district’s two campuses in Marin City and in Sausalito.
