Meridiana has completed its lakeside amenity village with a 60-foot Meridian Tower at its center.
Rise Communities is developing the 2,700-acre community, which will open near Texas 288 south of Texas 6 in the Manvel/Iowa Colony area in the spring. The project is about 24 miles south of downtown.
The complex, next to the new Meridiana Elementary School, includes a family pool and cabanas, lap pool, splash pad, fitness center, amphitheater for outdoor concerts, café, fishing pier and outdoor play area, and a central lawn with shaded seating areas. A glass-walled conservatory that extends over the lake will serve as a community event space.
The builder lineup consists of David Weekley Homes, CalAtlantic Homes, Highland Homes, Perry Homes, Plantation Homes, Shea Homes, Taylor Morrison and Trendmaker Homes. Pricing ranges from $230,000 to more than $500,000.
The community will also be the site of a new football stadium being developed by Alvin Independent School District.
